Torah World Declares War As Yeshiva Students Arrested

The crisis surrounding the draft decree against bnei hayeshivos by the IDF is reaching a new peak:
In total: six yeshiva students have been arrested - and the message in the yeshiva world community is clear: the red line has been crossed. Rav Moshe Tzadka instructed the bnei Torah hasefardim to go out in demonstrate, Rav Ezriel Auerbach shlita has instructed the Bnei Torah to go and demonstrate in yerushalayim Bnei Brak Tekl Aviv and other locations in the north
Rav Moshe HIllel HIrsch wrote a letter to the bochurim "You are pioneers at the head of the camp in the face of the harsh actions and decrees on the existence of the Torah world." "Do not let your hearts faint, do not fear or be dismayed by them - Hashem is with you, mighty men of valor."
Rav SDov Landau shlita is scheduled to visit the bochurim in military prison

Unprecedented letter from Rav Moshe Hillel

  2. Unfortunately, I don't think this will end well from the Haredim.

I wish that they could have come to some sort of compromise: for example, Yeshiva bochurim (except the top mitzuyanim) could spend a few hours each day - second seder - working in a weapon factory, while remaining in Yeshiva for first seder and night seder.

At this point, the secular are just going to keep putting bochurim in jail until they agree to go to the army. Israel has plenty of space in its jails. What if they put bochurim in jails and only serve them bread and water? How long will a bochur last before caving? A day? A week?

    1. They don't have plenty of space in the jails and the police are playing catch and release anyway. The threat is imaginary.

    3. The reason we haven't won this battle yet is because there are plenty of Charedim making asinine points like that.
I blame Eitz, who introduced the crooked hashkafa of zilzul hatorah, as though the army issue isn't about learning Torah but about tziyoiness. Too many Charedim stopped appreciating the importance of Torah learning and how the only way to live a life of Torah is by allowing anyone who wants to pursue the dream of gadlus batorah.
The ridiculous idea of working in weapons factories in the afternoons is an expression of that שכחת התורה.

We need to remind Charedim what we believe, not chilonim.

  3. Threre are empty stadiums that could fit 40,000 people that they could use as a makeshift jail. Jail space is not a problem for the Zionist reshaim.

  4. I hope all the hafgonas will be in line with the hafgona against Giyus Banos (you can watch that hafgona here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=crcOGnzYmL0 ) The Brisker Rav and other Gedoley Torah only agreed to attend it would be this way with no inflammatory speeches and no violence afterwards. This is out mesora of how we fight such gezoras.
