Weather: 87° Lots of sunshine

- An estimated 200,000 people in Paterson, Haledon, North Haledon and Prospect Park were without water for a fourth day on Monday as a crew struggled to repair a pipeline break at Hinchliffe Stadium in the city. Water was still gushing from the 30-inch pipe during a 12 p.m. press conference at Hinchliffe Stadium as mayors of the four municipalities asked residents for patience as the crisis dragged on.

- NYP: New Jersey’s electric bills tripled this summer  and could cost Dems the state. The policymakers pushed the policies, but didn’t build the safety net, or the replacement energy sources, first.Instead, families face a double squeeze. Their bills are rising, and so are the taxes funding the very lawmakers who forced costs up.
Voters are rightly asking: What am I getting in return for this crushing cost of living?
“NJ Property taxes are up 6.3%,” he said — on top of what had already been the nation’s highest. “Car insurance up 15%. Home insurance up 17%. Health insurance up 19%.“I don’t know how non-dermatologists are living in New Jersey,” he concluded.
That question — how are we expected to live here? — is why the solidly blue Garden State is rapidly turning purple.

--Jack Ciattarelli : TRIPLED!! Rebecca in Highland Park just saw her monthly electric bill triple to more than $1000. Why? Because Trenton Democrats, with the approval of my opponent Mikie Sherrill, shut down six electricity generation plants around the state, stopped burning natural gas, and didn’t expand our nuclear capabilities in South Jersey. Who pays for their energy master plan disaster? You do.
It all changes when I’m Governor. IT’S TIME.

He ordered Luna-Perez released but confined to his Red Bank home with an ankle monitor, barred him from operating a vehicle, and ordered a substance abuse evaluation.

- Jack Ciattarelli: The DNC is dumping $1.5M into Mikie Sherrill’s campaign. Why? Because she’s in trouble. She’s not from New Jersey, doesn’t understand our state, supports radicals like Mamdani, and is using this race as a stepping stone for her own ambition. A “substantial step” must be taken toward committing one of those acts for a charge to be sustained, he said. “The charge rests on an ambiguous interaction open to misinterpretation,” Jacobovitch wrote. The next hearing is scheduled for Aug. 18 at the Ocean County Courthouse. APP

  1. Night out against crime is not a place for Bnei Torah and families to hang out!! The fact that the food is under Rabbinic supervision makes it no different from Seudas Achashveirosh, which Mordechai Hayehudi instructed the Yidden not to attend, despite the wine and steaks being Badatz. Taaruvos, empty fraternizing and unwarranted chanifa ought to make it unnecessary and off limits.

    1. Hows it different than the free heilige chol hamoed event that all the bnei Torah flock to. Theres plenty of Taaruvos there as well

    2. Calm down there's nothing going on there. There's a couple of handouts and some raffles. Good luck trying to get food the line is huge and they don't have enough food for attendees. - I was there last year and don't plan on returning . I had to go to the local pizza shop to satisfy my disappointed children.

    1. We live in a federal republic. The constitution reserves the police power to the states. Duh now. Even if the federal government disappeared, the authority of the state will still exist. State came first. If the state disappeared, the townships would cease to exist. Most sovereignty rests with state government. Not even big government Republicans can stretch federal power that far.

    2. To 7:16 -- but constitution requires federal government to guarantee every state a "republican" form of government, as defined by the President. republican small R.

  3. I want to say that Ruby Schron can bring down the Israeli economy due to his massive holdings there and Ruby Schron can fund ALL the yeshivas there whilst the government is withholding it until a friendly pro frum government will come. Does anyone have anyway to get in touch with him? I have a few places that I want him to get zchusim in funding?

    3. Imagine the fallout economically for all Israelis

Allowing, or idly standing by, to the attempt to destroy the purity in which Torah is learned by Yidden in the Land of Yisroel is not any Torah Jew's list. Imagine the fallout in every way - economically, safety, politically and socially - for all Israelis

    4. Or Rabbi Schron knows the RYs are playing political games he doesn't want to get involved in.

    5. Ruby Schron is not invested in Israeli real estate. Has little if any bank accounts in Israel.

Note too that some deposits are contractually required. Compensating balances, escrow accounts, etc
