Resolution 2022-0096 Authorizes An Emergency Temporary Appropriation For 2022 Budget.
ReplyDeleteIt states: "WHEREAS, emergent conditions have arisen with the respect of payment of bills in number accounts and no adequate provision has been made in the year 2022 temporary budget for aforesaid purposes."
Well, how about we start demanding that the committeemen stop triple-dipping their hands to give themselves raises and bonuses from the taxpayer cookie jar. This way we can help avoid this current financial "emergency".
the total temporary emergency resolutions adopted in the Year 2022 for the Township pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 96, PL 1951 (NJS 40A:4-20) including this resolution total $5,474,000.00 for the current fund
DeleteWhere else does an employee determine what his/her salary will be? Sounds ludicrous
ReplyDeleteThe swamp creatures in Washington DC.
DeleteHow many boys dont have a mesivta yet
ReplyDeleteMesivta’s we’re full before farhers even began… it was a total mess
DeleteHow many new mesivtas dont have boys
DeleteHow many mesivtas don’t have a boy yet?
ReplyDeleteThe new mesivtas are a good excuse for the established ones not to take more and are all full now with bochurim not knowing where to go.
ReplyDeleteLakewood negative 53.
ReplyDeleteSpending over 17k due to ongoing pandemic.
Huh?
When the old Mesivtos are filled, the new Mesivtos get their chance. The bochurim are the same, there is no real difference between them. The whole 'Metzuyanim' business is a hoax. A Metzuyan has no greater chance of becoming a Talmid Chacham than a non-Metzuyan. As long as the bochur wants to learn, and he has Yiras Shamayim, with a minimum level of Kishron, a Mesivta can help him shteig. Why do they make such a fuss about their acceptance issues?
ReplyDeleteWhat if they DON'T know how to learn or have yiras shomayim? Then which local yeshiva is right for them?
DeleteIf they don't have yiras shomayim, they can always become politicians.
DeleteThat is a whole different kettle of fish. Those boys cannot be in the same Mesivta as the others, they need a different program and it would be unfair to subject them to a system that is not geared for them.
Delete@5:47 why expose that? Let's make believe every kid coming out of 8th grade is just jumping to learn, has minimum Kishron and has Yiras Shamayim. Let's not change that narrative...
DeleteThe whole metzuyanim business is a hoax? What’s that supposed to mean other than to say your son is not a metzuyan?
ReplyDeleteIt's a hoax that Metzuyanim Yeshivos are any better than non-Metzuyanim Yeshivos. The same boy who goes to Mintz or to Torah Temimah, is no more likely to have a better outcome in the first than the second.
DeleteThe Metzuyanim Yeshivos have no more to sell than the so-called Beinoni ones.
The whole chase after the best boys is just an ego stroker, nothing to do with reality.
BTW, I have only daughters, I wasn't talking about myself.
As would be expected some new mesivtas are having a hard time. Most good boys (metzuyanim) that could get into an established yeshiva won’t go to a new mesivta unless family or something like that.
ReplyDeleteNow is the time for new Mesivtos to get bochurim. That's how it always is. People prefer established places. The established places also took time until they became established.
DeleteLakewood high school. Home of the piners?
ReplyDeleteOf course you’re saying you only have daughters. I don’t believe it but if true you have no say in the matter as you don’t begin to know the sugya. To your point though a beinoni place is better for a beinoni boy while a metzuyan place is best for a metzuyan. Nothing is a hoax. In both places a boy can shteig.
ReplyDeleteDefinition of each is often vague and depends on personal self-interest.
DeleteSecondly,
Going back a couple generations we didn't have that dichotomy so rigid
You must have been so much worse off
Yes but the new mesivtas are having a hard time even now. If they’re filling up it’s not with the level they wanted.
ReplyDeleteWhat’s vague? Your son is either a metzuyan or he’s not. True when we grew up mesivtas were a mix of types and levels but since it is this way today each yeshiva is geared to that type and level so a boy will be the most matzliach in a yeshiva where he fits in.
