- Amazon Prime is raising the price from $119 to $139 per year. The price of a monthly subscription will also increase from $12.99 to $14.99. it will go into effect 3/25 for existing members and 2/18 for new subscriptions..

- Yeshivas Mir yerushalayim commemerated the zizaron of Habachur Yossi Kohn Z:L ben Reb Menachem ZTL who was nifter in the Miron tragedy. The yeshiva placed a plaque in the bais Menachem B"M in his memory describing how in his final moments he lifted up the weight on top of him to help free a younger boy who was saved from the bottom of the pile. - The Howell Township Council unanimously agreed to forego 60% raises. An ordinance would have hiked the members' pay from $7,500 to $12,000 a year, and locked in 2% raises each year. But the members voted instead not even to consider the ordinance change. (APP)

  2. Shame on unzere committeemen who take big raises for themselves with no busha after raising taxes and water rates Where is their rachmanus on fellow yidden that work hard and struggle for parnassah. While they keep taking for themselves from the cookie jar.

    1. It's disgraceful that our township MUA Board members take DOUBLE the salary of the Council Members in Howell. They're just involved in one subsidiary department of Lakewood township supplying water & sewer to less than half the town, but yet they charge us 200% more than the elected officials running the entire Howell?!

      They’re either fooling themselves into thinking that money grows on trees in Lakewood or they're totally blind to the hardships of the average resident.

      Their actions are despicable!!!
