  1. The loans are advanced state aid. It is deducted over ten years from the time of the loan.

This year we are paying back $20 million. That means that we have lost almost all of our state aid for 2021-22. Next year we will get none.

The monitor will order local taxes to increase to the fullest extent of the law to make up for the lost state aid. This will continue and eventually the legislature will authorize even larger increases in Lakewood taxes to make up for the lost state aid.

This loss of all out future state aid is the fruit of Lkwd leaders who said for two decades, "We're working with Trenton." Not a one of them has cooperated, replied to my emails or publicly shown any support.

Wake up askanmim! The governor does not have the power to forgive the loans and no one in the legislature wants to lift a finger for Lakewood, unless it is to raise more taxes.

Say, if my case brings an extra $100 million a year and repayments are $100 million, they cancel.

And your BOE wanted to delay the case another two years for a remand to the lower court. For what reason? To prove that the state IS providing a constitutional education in Lakewood. So go figure, because I do not understand. Anyway, their motion lost. They still will be a thorn in the side as we make our way to the NJ Supreme Court.

    A Lang

  2. Are these the last food boxes of this pandemic? Will we have to wait for another one to get some free pizza bagels and chopped carrots?

  3. Why are there multiple Arrows painted on Prospect Street Leading into the trees ??
    Is this a mistake ??
Who can we contact about this ?

    1. The arrows in the center lane are not there to direct people to specific turns. They are to designate the center lane for left turns only. That is the standard way to paint such a lane.

  4. Why is Rabbi Lang a lone fighter? Why aren't we all joining hands with him as a group to fight this terrible injustice??

    1. The same reason you are anonymous here. Look at what happened to him. He was demoted and fought the whole way. If anyone joins, their kids will be threatened to be kicked out of school and will be labeled a "Moiser". That happens even if you are only fighting development in your neighborhood!

    2. I disagree. Who ate being a moiser on by agreeing with him ? No school will bother you or your kids. Just organize a public debate between him and the ones opposing him let the public ask questions and make up their minds

    3. No reason for a debate because the opposition has not articulated any reason.

It is all for one man and his megalomania. He has to control. The sad part is that can't litigate the case.

When the judge called the funding a "Ponzi" scheme, MI went on TLS gloating over it, but the next day he asked the judge to recuse herself. When I had a business question for Mr. Finger, who testified and was always more than happy to help me out, during a recess on the last day of the trial, MI shouted at him not to talk to me. I just never understood the opposition other than as resentment for the fact that it is not his case.

All this is about one man.

If anyone can offer ANY reason why it is so important to derail the case and say that the state is providing T & E in Lakewood, do explain. We have provided SO MUCH evidence to the contrary, and even if there was an improvement in education, it is so slight it would not be worth jettisoning a billion dollars over the safek.

Oh.. I forgot about the newly approved 73 duplexes on Massachusetts right near Prospect.

    2. Density itself isn't dangerous if there would be actual sidewalks. For example, Manhattan isn't dangerous.

  6. why in the world doesn't finchley blvd have a right/left lane turning on to route 9 instead of bushes?!?!?!?!?!

Is it the fault of the state again that forced them to have bushes and grass while everyone has to sit in their car scratching their heads all day??
