  1. Terrible that only 38% in Lakewood are vaccinated per the Video linked. People need to think of OTHERS, and VULNERABLE people who, although fully vaccinated, the vaccine is not reallly effective. This includes transplant recipients, like myself, who are on immunosuppressive medications. Others included are anyone who takes such medications for any number of auto-immune diseases. Studies are very clearly showing the the vaccine in such people is basically not effective. These people have no choice, but the healthy who can choose MUST CHOOSE LIFE! - Life for those who are vulnerable. Stop being selfish. A real shanda how the video had to remind people of the alleged non-compliance with the covid restrictions and all the deaths. Listen to the Rabbonim who are encouraging vaccinations. So when the Rabbonim, come out with a new isssur, everyone is on board, but when they encourage vaccinations, you say "beshrirus libi eilech??

    1. The reinfection rate is very small, and the Cleveland clinic study shows that those who had covid are just as likely to get covid as those vaccinated, so there is no difference.

    2. The Delta variant is different, and we should not experiment. We don't know exactly how, but how can we take a risk? Last time we took a risk, and Charedim had four times the deaths of over 65s than the outside world had. It is a tiny discomfort, and we owe it to ourselves and the world.

    3. 38% of Lakewood is very high when you factor that 50% of the population are children who are not eligible for the covid shot.
Another important piece of data is the herd immunity factor since 15000 -2000 adults had covid

    4. Which Rabbanim encouraged those with antibodies to get the vaccine? And besides, weren't you screaming that we should listen to Dr's not Rabbanim in matters of medicine. And is there any halachic requirement for me to try sm experimental vaccine that has caused 5000 deaths to possibly protect the vulnerable? And vulnerable people shouldn't be around others.

Stop repeating lies. This is a blatant untruth. This is why this has become an issue, because the other side constantly lies. If it's so beneficial, you don't spend millions to convince people. People aren't all stupid. I don't see million dollar campaigns telling people not to walk in front of moving cars.

    6. You can call it lies, that doesn't change facts.
Read the latest issue of 'Der Veker' where they show you the numbers, using multiple sources.

      Really?

  2. If I have antibodies there is absolutely no reason for me to get the vaccine and getting it will not protect others one drop more. If you don’t have antibodies you should probably get it.

    1. You cannot be sure of that. True, until now reinfection is extremely rare. But variants are constantly emerging, and by the time we find out, it may be too late to get the shot.
A year and a half ago, we failed at being רואה את הנולד and we scrambled to react to the crisis (as did virtually the entire world). Let us not repeat the mistake. The vaccine hasn't hurt people and the chashash of new variants is real.
      Just take the shot
