- A few days before girls schools begin there's still an untold amount of girls not placed both in elementary and high school. - Update scheduled for  this Thursday: Report: Roshei Yeshiva and Chasidishe rebbes to meet with president Trump. The report says that a group of Admorim and Roshei Yeshiva will be received by President Trump at the White House. They will use the opportunity to advocate for various matters and to thank the president for all the benefits enjoyed by the frum Jewish community. In recent days, the logistical details of the historic visit, which is expected to take place next week, have been worked out. Those reportedly invited include the Satmar Rebbes, the Skverer Rebbe, the Bobover Rebbe, the Bobov-45 Rebbe, the Vizhnitzer Rebbe of Monsey, Rabbi Malkiel Kotler, rosh yeshiva of Beth Medrash Govoha Lakewood, and others.

- Media coverage of the LSTA crisis raises serious questions about possible political retribution against Lakewood by Governor Sherrill’s administration. Lakewood voters overwhelmingly voted against Sherrill in both the primary and general elections, and since then, the State has taken actions that have made it increasingly difficult for Lakewood officials to secure alternative sources of funding.

Lakewood officials have therefore questioned whether the State is deliberately restricting the Township’s options because of its political opposition to the Governor. While there is not yet proof that Sherrill personally ordered these actions as retaliation, the repeated state decisions that have blocked or limited Lakewood’s efforts to obtain alternative funding raise legitimate concerns about whether political considerations are involved.

    2. 2 bobover Rebbes? I only know of one, as the psak was from bais din. Like Yankel Miller famously said, "all I know is that Halberstam is Bobov and Unger is gefilte fish".

Say what you want, but they are both significant Chassidusen. Whatever fish you prefer doesn't change their significance.

As for what you say - is it worth the price? It defames Bobov when you write this way. A person who is loyal to Bobov and Rav Ben Tzion doesn't express himself this way.

  7. Presidents have met with RYs and Admorim for over 100 years in the White House.
    Nothing inherently new.

Did President Trump meet with any Imams in the White House. I tend to doubt it.

But Governors including Sherrill and Hochul have no problem doing so. Would he tell them to stop acting antisemitic manner?

By the way, expect a RH greeting mess.

    1. Guaranteed way to have all yeshivot closed right away.
Not that President Trump would get involved

President Clinton tried that, and after PM Netanyahu lost, yeshivot lost their government funding, and talmidim lost their zchuyot.

    2. i rather have a Roman/Edom governor than a chiloni like Netanyahi or Yair Golan who deny the Abishter and us the olam Hatorah our rights

    3. RomanEdomis who would kill tannaiim for learning Torah.

Or did you already forget Arzei haLevanon?

Say what you want, no one died for learning Torah, they just want everyone aged 18-2 to serve in Tzahal.

Tell President Trump they don't want to serve, and he'll suspect American charedim won't serve either in US Army. Which they obviously won't.
