- Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Iran deal: We have them by the throat. They are dealing with 150%-180% food inflation, and they can't pay their soldiers. I think very soon, maybe even today or tomorrow, we will see an agreement, a ceasefire for 30 to 60 days, and the Strait of Hormuz will be opened

- United Airlines is expected to restart service to Israel on September 8 with two daily flights between Newark and Tel Aviv

- Multiple sources inside Iran confirm that Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been rushed to the hospital and is in critical condition. -C14

- Trump, on a deal with Iran: I think the war will be over very soon. I don't think they can go on much longer. I'm involved in negotiations with Iran. We're making good progress. There may be a deal soon.

- A defense pact has been signed in Mecca between Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, the countries say in a joint statement.
