- The Israeli Prime Minister's Office has confirmed, in a statement in English, the attack by the Israeli Air Force in Syria: "Israel and Syria had agreed to maintain the status quo on security matters, which Syria was about to violate by allowing TURKISH FORCES to operate at an air base near Aleppo. Israel repeatedly warned Syria that such a deployment would pose a threat to Israel's security. Syria chose to ignore these warnings. Israel will not tolerate threats to its security and welcomes a return to the status quo."
