Iran/Israel Updates Thur August 6

- Iranian source to Reuters: Iran intends to demand 5%-7% of the cargo value of every ship requesting entry into the Persian Gulf through the Strait of Hormuz, and Oman intends to request 3%

- Trump: The Fake News, as usual, is spreading false and completely unfounded rumors. I am extremely happy with the job that Pete Hegseth is doing. Everything has been extraordinary, including our attack on Venezuela, where the result was accomplished in less than one day, allowing us to bring one of the worst criminals anywhere in the World, Nicolas Maduro, to Justice! Likewise, Iran, where the country has been decimated for the purpose of NOT ALLOWING IT TO EVER HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON, is going very well! Pete is highly respected within the Military, and has made tremendous improvements, including getting rid of DEI, and increasing recruitment to historic levels. This rumor was started by The Washington ComPost, one of the worst Media Outlets in the business, despite our telling them their story is completely FALSE. In actuality, I really believe their fake “reporting” is treasonous! President DONALD J. TRUMP

- Trump: “The U.S. has massive amounts of “munitions,” especially of certain types. Additionally, large amounts are being manufactured and shipped to the U.S. as needed. Defense companies are building the largest number of plants and factories in our country’s history. The “leakers” of these treasonous statements are being hunted down. Long term jail sentences will be sought! President DJT”

-A journalist asked President Trump why he thinks things will be different this time with Iran. Trump: It might be different, and it might not. We were ready to attack. You know when you are truly ready and when you are bluffing. We were ready for an attack

- The condition of four IDF reservists injured from yesterday's incident has improved slightly. A booby-trapped house exploded when the force entered it. Israel still does not know if it was booby-trapped before or after the ceasefire

- US House Speaker Mike Johnson of the Republican Party: We will win the midterm elections, whether we resolve the Iranian issue before the elections or not.

- Washington Post: Trump fumed at Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth at a Camp David meeting over the weekend over the U.S. military's missile shortage crisis. The incident occurred on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting on Friday, when Trump expressed his anger at Hegseth and said he thought the ammunition stockpile problem had "already been solved
