A letter from someone close to the Eismann family:
We were overwhelmed by the amount of support we were shown over the past months, both financial and spiritual. It was the deluge of donations that allowed the legal team to work unhindered, and it was the non-stop zechusim that orchestrated everything above. It was truly an enlightening experience, and the nesi’as ol has proven to be the silver lining in the dark saga we are embroiled in.
Over the last month and a half, the legal team has been working non-stop on a motion to try to have the remaining two charges dismissed. On March 11, they submitted a 48-page motion, and this past Friday they submitted an additional brief refuting a rebuttal offered by the state. This week, the judge determined that the hearing on the motion will take place concurrent with the time he scheduled for sentencing, on April 29 at 9:00 AM.
I write today to let you know that the work is not yet over, and to the contrary, now is perhaps the most crucial period in the case. The end is nearing, and as the final judgement on the case
approaches, now is more critical than ever before. Every zechus is vital for a positive outcome, and every tefillah can be pivotal in the outcome of the sentence. In addition, a lot of funds are still needed to cover the ongoing legal expenses. Klal Yisroel answered the call and remained with us through this prolonged ordeal. The finish line is in sight, every effort can bring us over.
