Today at town hall. Last night 3 roshei Yeshiva of BMG came by to protest the arrest of a local father a youngerman whose been sitting in jail since Thursday night without due process.
At 1:15 pm there will be a עצרת תפילה in BMG Bais Yitzchok after a BMG Yungerman was arrested by Lakewood Police on Friday after a Hispanic teen he was trying to hire as a day laborer claimed he wanted to lure him into his vehicle.
- Today 2:00pm עצרת מחאה ותפילה in front of Lakewood police station and town hall to protest the arrest of a innocent youngerman whose been locked in ocean county jail since Thursday. The Roshei yeshiva are expected to join again after they came last night at 1:30 am. As of this afternoon nothing has changed and no words from any elected officials or community liasons.

Why isn't this signed? Without a signature , not even from someone who I don't respect, I can not support the cause.
ReplyDeleteThanks for you not supporting it.
Deleteפדיון שבויים!!
Nobody protested the travesty of impugning the premiere Beis Din in town with lies and below-the-belt attacks, placing hundreds of women in danger of becoming agunos. This is just inevitable.
ReplyDeleteHow exactly are they premiere if the daas torah of the manhigei hatorah in Lakewood are against them.
DeleteIf you have a problem with the Lakewood essence of the last sixty plus years you are welcome to move elsewhere. The foundation of Lakewood is the Yeshiva and whoever has a problem with that they are welcome to move out!
What about the bogus agunus who refuse to submit to B'D and go straight to the secular court? How about those who refuse to accept a גט?
DeleteWhat are you talking about?
DeleteOf course there was a protest and rightly so. It was a response to the hundreds of young children who were alienated from their parents, the countless men who were unjustly removed from their homes, and the abuse of forced arbitration agreements. These agreements were often signed under duress, filled with deceptive language, and enforced by self-appointed dayanim who inserted themselves into custody disputes to defend their own authority.
It's about time there was accountability for what has been happening. This letter is just the beginning of exposing the travesty that has gone on for far too long.
The essence has been destroyed awhile ago by both sides. Now they're arguing how the bury the corpse. A plague on both their houses
DeleteThe R'Y shlita were by the police station in the early morning hours. Reb Yeruchem gave indication that a protest today was warranted. The R'Y shlita would not be helping the cause by signing as then it would appear that BMG is using their clout (which could cause pushback) as opposed to the residents of Lakewood in general protesting.
ReplyDelete& suddenly wild protests are in vogue.
DeleteWhere are "our" elected officials??? Just keep voting for them....
ReplyDeletewhere is mayer mayor the police liaison ??where is menashe miller ??? a yungerman with 8 kids sitting in jail since thursday and no one does anything i personally know this yungerman he couldnt hurt a fly hes a masmid atzum
ReplyDeletewhere are our elected representatives when you REALLY need them??
this is sandoloes
Did the Roshei yeshiva call the elected people, they keep saying reelect?
ReplyDeleteWhat have the Councilmen, who represent us saidso far?
Shouldn't they sayhe is out b4 Shabboss, or you will never get our backing again. You will be primaried. What else besides erev Pesach garbage & fire do they do for the tzibur?
They add traffic, they make our kids sit in hours of traffic every morning so much that they need to wind down B4 class etc.
They get tax abatements for freinds & recuse from those votes. Leave us paying the taxes for 40 years down the road. When their police department arrests without due process & keeps someone over Shabboss, they go AWOL.
This is why I want out of Lakewood. Will be taking the Texas bar and going back to Houston. 40 years here. Did not like the polity to begin with.
ReplyDeletePeople used to say that we are not so bad because our people do not mug or kill. Ruining America is just as bad. There is NO SUCH THING as telling people who to vote for expecting obedience. This is EVIL. It is what caused me be blacklisted by the school district even though I am saving this ungrateful town. There is no remedy. As long as people do not COMMIT to their DUTY to learn the issues and vote according to their conscious, Lakewood is doomed no matter how many billions we get from my case, no matter if we do not sink in debt by getting the $300 million forgiven.
And I don't think any from community is worthy because now even Toms River and Jackson are telling people who to vote for. Sick minded people. AL
As soon as you move on & get a nice sinecure [a compliment] elsewhere, they'll chase you to give you some lovely plaque at a coming Dinner. As long as you remain here, you'll be stepped on.
DeleteAnd let’s not forget while the Lakewood media sites and WhatsApp groups use this story to attack each other and bury the competition, they’re just as guilty. For years, they’ve covered for and promoted the very askanim and politicians who have run this town into the ground and embedded it in corruption.
ReplyDeleteDon’t be fooled by their sudden outrage. These outlets are paid off and bought to promote the same politicians they now pretend to hold accountable.

And if you had accountable government, if you had LEADERSHIP, a person would not be arrested without probable cause or sent to the county. But everyone is comfortable with an endorsement.
ReplyDeleteThere is absolutely no leadership. No mayor. No political boss. No one. If you have the ability to change history, to secure Lakewoods future for 100 years, no one can help. Go to the township, they say it is responsibility of BOE. Go to Rosh Yeshiva, can't go against corporate leadership or Igud. Go to Igud, each junior leaguer is scared he will not be able to get his $10,000 funding here or there because the BOE attorney makes them think he is bending the law. He is not. End result, All of y'all home values will collapse. Good riddance.
And guess what? The court decision will be any day. And I am not going to publicize. I don't care about this town anymore. It is not worth it. Ungrateful people. It will be in nj.com and app, maybe even NY Times, but not here, or any of the garbage newspapers in town that covered a fire Marshall election last November and did not even mention an election as important as the federal chief magistate, the BOE. Yea, just follow your marching order and DESTROY the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Communist town.

ReplyDeleteAnd the chaneifa is SICK. I want to thank Shmeryl for this and that, I want to kiss Bob Singer's posterior, I want to thank the $%&#. All they do is kiss each other about how good a job they do. BUT THEN, when a REAL MAN, I mean a REAL MAN which there are almost none in this town because they are so chicken to rock the boat, shows up to fix all our problems, they shout him down. How dare you interfere with our efforts in Trenton? You are a nobody. Then one of them, thinking he is so great, gets up and shouts me down. I turned all white. So what. I don't need them. This is inefficient and EVIL government is for one REASON only. Because there is no accountably. No free elections. No press coverage. The people of Lakewood are not good because they destroy the American form of government by voting for whom they are told.
ReplyDeleteNow that I posted, here is where your people will screw up.
DeleteHopefully the debt is forgiven. BUT there are so many ways the $100 billion a year will be generated and it will be up to the people of Lakewood and NJ to figure it out. Continue following your marching orders and the state is going to continue to dance circles around your so-called political bosses and elected leaders, and makes sure it contributes as little funding as possible. Is that enough to get people in this town to perform their duty when voting? Greek word for a politically non-informed citizen is idiot.
The whole polity of Lakewood is hefker. Just puny bosses with their own playground turf, but no boss-in-charge where the buck stops there. Hefkerville.
It will do no good to have a real mayor because the heart of the problem is not the people in government, but a failure of leadership. There will never be political leadership if there is no accountability to the people. And that is the fault of the people
I'm sorry, while theres plennty to talk about of lkwd twshp board, this post is not about politics & whos fault it is, this one of our own flesh & blood & every jew should do what HE can to get this guy freed.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes this comes at the heels of a mortifying smear campaign in the name of our leaders but so far from that, at one of our most premier BD's. Almost every one of the leading gedolei Rabonim have either already spoken or written about the integrity of the BD and and their psak to the matter, however for very obvious and clear reasons it was deemed the appropriate response to particularly not respond to the smear at all!! That is because the angry and libelous noise makers are not looking for dialogue or explanation but to tear an institution down. Ultimately, truth and the word of our great Torah leaders will stand.
ReplyDeleteTHEN.. This comes, at the heels of such a heavy Hester Panim, and now this.. May Hashem have mercy on us.
"Almost every one of the leading gedolei Rabonim"
DeleteLike Rabbi Miller Rabbi Forcheimer Rabbi Heineman, Rabbi Sariel Rosenberg, Rav Binyyomin cohen?
Nice try on that SPIN. Facts are nobody came out pro BHV and some very big gedolim publicly came out against them in a way that is completely unheard of.
DeleteYou are a BHV lackey (or maybe e even a “dayan”) and clearly desperate.
We here on HV see right through you and are disgusted by your mind boggling bizui talmidei chachamim against R’ Eli Ber etc. in the you have been commenting for the past week.
TYFYATTM!
I wrote the previous post and I have not been posting all week, or a Lackey or whatever. I spoke with four prominent poskim in town over shabbos and they told me that there is no shaila as too what the panal of bhv rabanim paskened and that the noise is entirely politics with a loud mouth peice, they also all told me that the lack of response is entirely purposeful. And may change
DeleteWe must start a recall of “our committeemen” ASAP
ReplyDelete100%
DeleteGet rid of all allien help as a protest, you will see how quick this case is dropped.
ReplyDeleteAlso move the protest to outside the homes of the elected officials & keep it up.
I thought MT & CA have the system, LDP & OCPO with the attorney generals office all locked down ?
ReplyDeleteSo now when every news site shares the whole story and name, suddenly Hefkervelt is all mum and heilig and not posting any details?????
ReplyDeleteWhere is the AGUDAH? Why don't they give out one of there prolific statements? Lol
ReplyDeleteWe're is Shnal
ReplyDeleteAudio robo call? AI is impressive
ReplyDeleteThe protest is very slim. Some nobody reading a dumb statement every few minutes than going over the same Tehillim
ReplyDeleteThey put up signs all over town to come to 2nd Street and when u get there the guy tells u it's yo hot so go back to Bais yitz hok. How utterly DUMB. Typical BMG Askanim style
