The BMG Roshei Yeshiva issued a letter calling on everyone to join the atzeres.
In light of the worsening situation regarding conscription of yeshiva bochurim and Kollel youngeleit in Eretz Yisroel to the IDF, there will be a gathering for a atzeres Tefillah and hisoirerus at Bais Faiga hall maariv @9:45pm followed with divrei chizuk delivered by
Rav Dovid Schustal, Rav Yitzchok Sorotzkin, and Rav Yeruchem Olshin shlita and guest from E"Y Rav Menachem Shapira and words from gedolei Eretz Yisroel.
Someone please explain what the issue/problem is. Torah Protects. Period. Case closed.

ReplyDeleteVirtually all Israeli Yeshivas have a freezer system, delaying shidduchim to age 21. If they were in the IDF, they wouldn't be forced to ignore this halacha. Would it be better to be in a Yeshiva which serves unkosher food, or would it be better to serve in the IDF? Both are wrong, but which one is worse?
Hagaon Rav Eliyahu Levin Shlita noticed the connection between freezers and the IDF draft. During his hesped on Rav Kalman Krohn Zatzal, Rav Eliyahu Levin said "Rav Kalman fought against the gezeira on the bochurim, and I am not referring to gezeiras giyus."

These Zionists are worthy of a kinnos on tisha bav, woe is us that Dati Leumi community is so misguided by willing to sacrifice themselves while in tel aviv the party scene is never ending, we only sacrifice ourselves for the Torah and not this treyfa medina.
