Israel at War day 418
- The Israeli military said on Wednesday it had destroyed one of Hezbollah's top strategic missile sites near the border with Syria, hours before an Israel-Lebanon ceasefire took effect.
The Israeli jets hit an underground complex that was used to produce surface-to-surface missiles and store precision weapons, the military said, with the help of Iran.
- Since the morning hours, the IDF forces have killed several suspects who approached them in southern Lebanon, shot and wounded additional suspects, and arrested 4 Hezbollah terrorists.
- "Hamas is ready for a ceasefire agreement and a serious deal to exchange prisoners," a senior Hamas official was cited as saying
- Israel is not giving up the buffer zone on the Lebanese border and will try to reach an understanding with the Trump administration according to which the villages adjacent to the fence will not be rebuilt. According to the agreement, the IDF must withdraw from Lebanon within 60 days. There will already be a new administration in the White House at this stage. Israel will claim that every house in the villages adjacent to the border where terrorist infrastructure was discovered and destroyed for this reason ( about 80% of the houses) is, according to international law, a terrorist site that must not be rebuilt. The assessment (or hope) is that the new administration may accept this interpretation.
- Israel-Hezbollah ceasefire comes into effect, halting nearly 14 months of fighting. A 60-day transition period, during which the IDF will withdraw its forces from southern Lebanon, while the Lebanese Army will deploy some 5,000 troops south of the Litani River, including at 33 posts along the border with Israel.
Hezbollah forces will leave southern Lebanon, and its military infrastructure will be dismantled. The US has also reportedly provided a side letter specifying Israel’s rights to respond to any violations .
- A total of 124 Israelis were killed by Hezbollah including 79 Israeli soldiers HYD who died in Lebanon throughout the war and 45 civilians HYD were killed in the north by Hezbollah since 10/8.
- As the final act last night, the IDF destroyed the secret underground base of Hezbollah for the production of missiles. Hezbollah assumed the IDF had no info on this facility. The IDF used 100 bombs, among them bunker busters, to destroy the base.
- Another final act…Last night in Beirut, the IDF eliminated the head of operations in Hezbollah's air unit, who commanded the launch of drones and cruise missiles into Israel
Axios: A Trump Transition official claimed Hezbollah agreed to the deal after Trump won because it knew the terms of a deal would only get tougher under Trump.”
- US President Joe Biden says the US and other mediators will jumpstart efforts to reach a ceasefire deal in Gaza that removes the Hamas terror group from power while freeing hostages held captive in the Strip for over a year.
-Spokesperson for the Israel Minister of Defense: Given the entry of Hezbollah personnel into Kfar Kila, Defense Minister Israel Katz directed the IDF to act firmly and without compromise in the face of acts of this type
Any Hezbollah-identified person who approaches the motorized areas at the entrance should be arrested, and if they endanger the IDF forces, they should be struck.
- The French Foreign Ministry says Netanyahu will enjoy immunity after the arrest warrant issued against him at the Criminal Court in The Hague
- IDF spokesman in Arabic, Col. Avihai Adrai, to the residents of southern Lebanon: "As we enter into the cease-fire agreement, the IDF continues to adjust its positions. Do not move towards the villages that the IDF has evacuated. We will update you on the safe time to return to your homes."
Heartbreaking that total number of deaths and casualties are not even counted nor reported.
ReplyDeletethe Zionists lost as their goal was to eradicate Hezbullah now they lost and were forced because of a lack of weapons to fights to stop even trying to fight further and claim a victory, This is the atheist nature of Kochi Voytzem Yodi that defines these anti Yahadus zealots whose only goal is to shut down yeshivas and put bochurim and yungeleit into jail. I cannot believe there are some frum like people who say a prayer for this medina and even lehavdil say hallel on their big independence day, if anything we should a kinna on tisha bav for this entity.
ReplyDeleteYou are not successfully trolling me. I only mean this for your good. Please seek help.
DeleteYour first half of your comment has nothing to do with the second. The Israelis didn't completely eradicate Hezbollah, correct. In which way is that connected to the what the Zionist agenda is and whether or not the Medinah is a good thing?
DeleteIt's the equivalent of saying America didnt win the war in Vietnam (or Iraq etc) so how could anyone think Ameica is a good thing or possibly call it a medinah shel chesed.
Help is available, you don't need to suffer in silence.
DeleteHas nothing to do with the lack of weapons realistically they cannot vanquish hezzabolla since it is supplied and resupplied by Iran and unless they attack the head of the snake which is Iran which of course they can't at a certain point they have to call it quits. The zionist mythology teaches that they are all-powerful, But the reality is they are a puppet state which gets controlled from foreign governments who support them At a certain point they are no longer supported they cannot fight on their own

DeleteThe only thing written in the past twenty years that I’ve seen argue about the great might and invincibility of the IDF is The Empty Wagon. (in his efforts to deny Yad Hashem during the six day war he tries to claim that although Isreal was outnumbered by between three and nine in every area (soldiers, weapons etc) they were still the stronger side ) In general the anti-Zionist logic also depends on the nations of the world keeping Jews safe and also claims to know how to deal with anti-Semitism. Just like the Zionists. Had they been around between 1915-1948 (when that reliance was leading to relentless mass murder of Jews) they would have been the first ones to join the Zionist movement and argue we need to defend ourself and can’t rely on the non-Jews to do so for us.
DeleteThe Empty Book is filled with beautiful blank paper, that someone then smeared with half-truths, exaggerations, lies, and krumme sevaros.
DeleteThe author is a spokesman for Neturei Karta, and we have been taught how to deal with them. We ignore them, see Reb Reuven.
Reb Reuven in his reference says otherwise.
DeleteRealistically it's the Jewish vote and clout in the US which keeps Israel safe. Imagine if old Jews in America made Aliyah would the US support Israel? So basically it's those who didn't take up the zionist dream and stayed in the US who are keeping the Zionist dream alive. The Zionist ideology calls for Jews to be independent and have their independent state. They are relying on the nations of the world and the Jews world over to keep them safe. They are not free they are not independent The Zionist dream is a bust.
ReplyDeleteRealistically it's the Jewish vote and clout in the US which keeps Israel safeThis is about the same as saying "Realistically it's the IDF which keeps Israel safe"As an aside most secular Jews in the US who are under forty have the same haskafa about the state of Israel as the kanoim . Both groups very unabashedly and very obviously copy each other's talking points
ReplyDeleteHopw many countries rely on USA for support , NATO , Canada , the list goes on and on. The fact that Israel relied on USA is exactly what point?
DeleteBeing "about' the same and the same is not synonymous. One small difference is that the IDF wouldn't have boots trucks or bullets if not for the constant supply they receive from the US. A minor distinction. And a obvious fact that the Israeli government does a valiant job to hide
DeleteMaybe If even enemies can agree they might be some truth there....
DeleteIt has been a consistent pattern in Jewish history that (1)the far right kanoim (2)the militantly atheistic anti-Torah secular Jews and (3)non-Jewish anti-Semites have all fought together for the same political outcome for issue of concern for the Jewish community. Today their common cause and struggle pertains to Israel. In the past it over other issues. But this inherent rainbow coalition has been around for thousands of years.
DeleteLike the satmer Rav and Hitler and Ben gurion were all on same page fighting mizerachi..... I love what you are smoking
DeleteHe means the early Reform or Bundists.
DeleteBut seriously. Can either of you come up with any other examples?
Here is another example. The far right kanoim , anti-semites and the militantly atheistic anti-Torah secular Jews all opposed and fought efforts to remove various discriminatory laws against (non-assimilated) Jews in czarist Russia.
DeleteProves the fallacy of everything else you claim.Complete balcony.
DeleteWhich secular Jews 'opposed and fought efforts to remove various discriminatory'? Name any at all
Baal Hatanya was a far right kanoi ?!
I wasn't referring to the Baal Hatanya. Read a (non heavily censored, agenda oriented ) book like The Triumph of Survival to get a better picture of Jewish history. Then we will talk.
DeleteThere is some validity to the contention of 12:57
ReplyDeletecontra Ben Gurion "Better 1 Neturei Karta'nik in Jerusalem than 10 tzionists in Chicago"
