- Shaving on Friday rosh chodesh reference only
R’ Yehuda Hachasid wrote in his last will and testament that there should be no haircuts, shaving or cutting nails on Rosh Chodesh, presumably because of sakana. The Mishna Berura writes specifically that this minhag applies even when Rosh Chodesh is on Friday.
However, there is a shita of Reb Yaakov Kaminetzky ztl who that the Minhag not to take a haircut on Friday only applies to a one day Rosh Chodesh. Then there is an option to take a haircut on Thursday, which is still considered L’kovid Shabbos. When Rosh Chodesh is two days, taking a haircut Wednesday would not be considered in honor of Shabbos. In that case Reb Yaakov held one could and should take the haircut on Friday, the second day of Rosh Chodesh.
Follow your minhag or speak to your LOR
Update via comment since Rosh chodesh this year is Friday Shabbos Rav Yakovs Kula is not relevent.

ReplyDeleteTrump should be invited the chavrusah tumal this Sunday. Nobody is learning anyway
ReplyDeleteWhy aren't bochurim sponsoring kiddush in shuls this Shabbat, so they'll get a good chavrusa?
ReplyDeleteDon't be fooled by the bloc vote and the talking points that if we all vote we get more money from Trenton
ReplyDeleteThe reality is that all funding and resources that come to Lakewood don't go to help out the residents or lower taxes.its the same few powerful well connected individuals and organizations that get the money and divert it to their own projects.
Chris Smith got funding for Lakewood traffic and it went to build roads in the new GCU development
Avi schnall and Bob Singer made big announcements that they gpt more funding from Trenton with another 7 million extra to the township. None of it made a dent as the township raised taxes despite this money and took increases for their salaries. Avi schnall did not make sure that the taxpayers git a penny of relief.
The LCSC and Chemed both well connected organizations also receive funding all beacuse lakewood has a lot of people but in reality our taxes still go up the roadways are dangerous with no sidewalks.
Basically the bloc vote and high turnout only helps those who pretend to represent the Lakewood community abusing our resources and diverting funding for their projects.
The only way this will end is if we form a legal halachicaly representative body appointed by All lakewood residents who will meet with the politicians and decide how the money will be distributed
Send a clear message to all the politicians that thre people who claim to represent the Orthodox community of Lakewood are self appointed and not passing the buck to the tax payers
The Governor only gave the money if his friends get the money, not any "representative body appointed by Lakewood residents" .
DeleteThe money was never supposed to be for you and me.
It's despicable how Meir and Menashe take advantage of the Lakewood tax payers and don't even have the decency to campaign or face the voters
ReplyDeleteLakewood deserves better than such representation who are in power longer than Putin and help their cronies as they messed up the town
Why us AGUDA Silent over the latest news reports on Chucky the traitor , oh do they still want to honor him and have him speak at their events as he pontificates his shomer Yisroel garbage now that we know what a self hating traitor he is
ReplyDeleteSchnall is getting gas tax money to expand route 9
ReplyDeleteToo little too late
Williams warned against confusing the establishment with the government or state,
ReplyDeletefor in doing that we remove ourselves from any consequential part in shaping our way of life. In the first place, we foster an illusion that electing or appointing different people will produce or lead to a change in the outlook of the Weltanschauung. But we are in reality changing the wrong people.
Who can still be stupid enough to believe they will widen rt9 while every níght there is a traffic jam as they r busy putting down NEW SIDEWALKS just as thery r, making it impossible to widen it.
ReplyDeleteFunny how CBN Is pushing the same vaad candidates while pretending there's no vaad lakewood media is all bought off
ReplyDeleteIt's like telling you to vote for kamala because she was in office the last 4 years
So let's continue with meir and menashe
I think everyone should call Moshe Zev Weissbergs office & home back to ask what hae you done bessides raise taxes & congestion to get my vote. stop these neusience robo call day & night all the way up to shabbos, even if I would have voted for you you lost my vote.

When they mean what they say, even if they don't say what they mean. From a government press release posing as an article on the Arutz Sheva propaganda outlet, here.
Our most idealistic religious people are being maimed and killed, on purpose, and the openly stated goal is to "socially transform" whoever survives. It's literally a physical and spiritual war from within, with an appreciation week for wounded sacrificial lambs. How nice.
Okay, Chananya, but what can we dooooo about it?
Step 1: Recognize who your real enemies are.
Step 2. Stop trusting anything they say, ever.
Step 3: Stop supporting them.
Step 4: Adapt accordingly.
Once a critical mass of people takes the first three steps, we can take it from there. Until they do, expect only more of the same, but increasingly worse as time goes on.
Our enemies have a clear endgame in mind and a detailed plan for how to get there. The "awake" people are busy sharing memes, sniping at each other, spinning their wheels, waiting for Moshiach, and otherwise waiting for "someone to do something".
Can we at least stop making it so easy for our enemies to destroy us? Maybe we can't stop the train to Auschwitz, but can we try a little harder to pull a few more people out the window? Maybe we can be someone who does something, instead of passively waiting for the end of the world and Hashem to save us?
what percentage of registered voters voted in lkwd in 2020, and 2016?
ReplyDelete@11:54, what is the point about a vague comment? If you want to make a point, state it clearly so we know what you want. I notice this alot on the comments on Hefkervelt. People say things cryptically to show they're in the know, but many readers don't know what they're talking about. So what's the point of commenting? So you can show your fellow machers how important your are? That you know things that the mere mortals don't know? Bekitzur, what are you trying to say here?
ReplyDeleteThe zionists amalekim continue their war on yahadus
ReplyDeleteWho appointed weisberg did he disclose to the taxpayers how much money his lcsc organization gets from the the taxpayers?
ReplyDeleteCan we trust him to be impartial in telling lakewood who to vote for?
Does he claim to be impartial?
DeleteI don't think so
Avi Schnall spoke at the DNC convention and said that the Viters for him voted for Trump in 2020 and now they turned and became democrats.
ReplyDeleteHe had no business talking and lying his job was to bring tuition relief and so far has not done it.
The military situation in Ukraine is deteriorating.
ReplyDeleteSenate Democrats wanted mandatory draft registration for women through selective services.
In 2021 "The Senate's version of the NDAA, which is expected to be voted on next month, already includes mandatory draft registration for women. So unless that changes in the amendment process, potential lady-conscription will be sitting on the desk of a willing Biden this fall" {2021}.
Please vote so that our daughters are not drafted.
