- Paper bags may return to NJ supermarkets A bill S3114  was approved by the Senate Environment Committee on Thursday that would allow customers to receive their groceries in paper bags either by delivery or curbside pickup for at least three years. Paper bags would continue to be banned with purchases made inside supermarkets and big box stores.(NJ)

- U.S. to buy "nuclear emergency" drugs for $290 million.

- Ukraine's Zelensky calls on NATO to launch "preemptive strikes" against Russia to "eliminate the possibility" of a Russian nuclear strike.

- Biden pardoned all people convicted of marijuana 

- Lakewood Police are investigating an attempted abduction and physical assault of a woman who was temporarily abducted on N. Lake Drive near Lake Carasaljo on Tuesday afternoon. According to police, the 55-year-old woman was approached by an unknown man who grabbed her and dragged her into the wooded area near the lake. The man covered her mouth as he dragged her, but she was able to escape the attack. The suspect was identified as a male wearing dark clothing. No arrests have been made.

 Jackson Roller skate rink saved APP reports that  Roller rink operator United Skates of America is taking over Jackson Skating Center, which closed after 44 years of family ownership.

-  Jackson planning board hears application for 4 new schools and yeshivos off Leesville rd The project property is located at a 30-acre parcel of land at 443 Leesville Road between Burke and Diamond Road. Neighbors spoke up at the meeting saying it will bring disastrous and catastrophic traffic to the area. The board will continue hearing the application on December 12th

 - Murphy signs bill that pushes schedule forward, allowing for the tax credit to take effect for the 2022 tax year and for credits to become available to taxpayers in 2023.

Resident households with an income of $30,000 or less will receive a refundable gross income tax credit of $500 for each child

  1. There is no street called 'Lake Drive'. Where was it? People need to know to be careful. Although it is usually a well used path, with people walking around the lake from early morning till late at night, there is no knowing what kind of crazies are out there.
    Awareness is key. And pepper spray.
