ReplyDeleteI guess who ever wrote that did not get into R AY Lol
It's over 10 years later and it's hurting badly.
DeleteThey raised 3 million in Lakewood but won't take any bochurim and force them to wait another six months thinking they will get in after pesach
DeleteIt's time to give up on this דמיון
i thought Brisk was in Poland!
DeleteWhat does RAY stand for?
DeleteR' Avraham Yehoshua, Shlita
DeleteRAV Avraham Yehoshua
DeleteI think you meant to say "RAV Moshe Feinstein," v'hamayvin yavin.
DeleteCHEMED/LRRC received over $23...
ReplyDeleteIn my investment portfolio, besides owning a school I have real estate and a nursing home shutfis, but how did I miss the CHEMED opportunity.
I learned in brisk 25 years ago. Anyone who knows bochurim that age knows he’s not taking anyone this zman. Bh today there are other great options.
ReplyDeleteBecause you were too busy sending out denial letters to applicants to your school. Go back to your office and stop raitzing un.
ReplyDeleteLakewood and Chaim Berlin. Hmm an interesting mix. They don’t exactly agree on basics.
ReplyDeleteLike what? The 13 ikarim?
DeleteAlmost
DeleteThe vehemently disagree on should a cholent be mostly potatoes or mostly beans.
DeleteAs per my roommate from an old CB family years (near decades )ago
DeleteBack in the sixties when one wanted to go from Cb to Lakewood they tried to keep them from going telling them-
Vos Iz dahr,gornisht dar
You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. Rav Ahron Schechter learned in BMG.
DeleteLakewood ers were content with condescension that CBers considered them Dry and Cold
DeleteHow long would he have lasted?
I wonder if R' Ahron nixing R' Hutners college idea has anything to do with the rivalry
DeleteBefore 1950 things were different. d the
DeleteBME was considered superior to both circa 1950 for a short while
DeleteJB,
Not too much. For proof:the latter was offered by the former to come if so desired be Mashgiach

ReplyDeleteCB wins hands down.
Lenin and Stalin were after all right? The UJA? WZO?
DeleteOr by contrast" Ich bin ein Chaim Berliner"JFK's inaugural?
I don't recall JFK saying Ich bin ein Chaim Berliner. If I remember correctly, he said Ich bin ein Berliner.
DeleteThat's what he wanted to say.Old CB pun
DeleteThey definitely have more college degrees.
ReplyDeleteEvery BMG talmid has a degree, unlike the berliners.
DeleteAhem
ReplyDeleteMore than the referenced Narcissism of Small Differences
My guess is many Commentors or parents are relatively recent arrivals to to our World
Fake degree. The berliners go to real college.
ReplyDeleteWow I give an 'A" for effort to trying to drum up some machlokes
ReplyDeleteRetaining your identity should be fundamental .
DeleteCB probably considered Lakewood deficient in depth and lacking holistic comprehensive personality
Kind of on the spectrum
Lakewood considered CB
lacking in high Clarity, high logic, straighteness, and overly appreciative of (frummer) olam hazeh
"Tov Lev mishteh tamid"
minus (half) the chassidish Baal habatish garb was NIMBY
wonderful if kept on the OTHEr side of the East River
Rebuild a Berlin wall
DeleteDo you want to talk about wg? That’s where the real stuff is
ReplyDeleteMaybe there was some kind of deal with Maser consulting and their settlement to allow the lawsuit to go through - township is in love w them - weren't they the ones who pushed for the traffic lights installed on first and Clifton? No repercussions for their silly advice as the township continues to hire them for al kinds of jobs..
ReplyDeleteYou have to wonder what kind of outrageous lawsuit they came up with Guardrails were there so cars don't end up in the houses - they weren't there so cars that loose control don't kill the occupants, otherwise we would place guardrails along all roads..
