- Judge strikes down NYC employee covid vaccine mandate down as unconstitutional, arbitrary and capricious. Historic victory for NY’s Strongest and the rest of NYC’s public servants.

- HEAVY TRAFFIC late afternoon and evening with numerous car accidents around Lakewood today with traffic lights knocked down at rt 88,poles and wires down on Cedarbridge (road closed) and extrications at other MVA's.

- Yeshiva University will allow a new LGBTQ organization to operate on its campus, the university announced Monday, as the legal fight over a predecessor group, YU Pride Alliance, drags on. Yeshiva launched the new group, Kol Yisrael Areivim, after the Supreme Court declined to block an injunction ordering that the YU Pride Alliance be recognized by the university. The decision is compliant with Yeshiva’s core Torah principles and was endorsed by the senior campus rabbi, the university said. The newly formed club has been approved by Rabbi Hershel Schachter, a senior religious figure at Yeshiva. A press release sent to students on Monday further explained Yeshiva’s rationale: “Within this association, students will be able to gather, share their experiences, host events, and support one another while benefiting from the full resources of the Yeshiva community – all within the framework of Halacha – as all other student clubs.”

- U.S. Justice Department to hold a press conference on "significant national security matter" later today.

- Rishi Sunak to become Britain's next prime minister.

- With unaffordable home prices, there's a push for affordable homes in Howell similar to Lakewood commons.

- Netz Hachama/Sunrise today is 7:17am will be 7:30am by next shabbos before the changing of the clock next Motzei shabbos. Shkia too will be 5:49 pm next week.

- Despite confusion over a new proposed federal bill, a majority of Americans will set their clocks back by one hour to conclude daylight saving time (DST) this fall. The "fall back" will take place on Sunday, November 6, which requires that all clocks be set back by one hour. Daylight saving time is set to kick off again in March, but the future of the bi-annual time shift lies in the hands of those in Congress and President Biden.

      If the city wasn't so densely populated, one big accident wouldn't shut down large areas of the city for such a long time.
      They allowed for all the building without widening roads etc.

  11. That’s stupidity. Accidents create mayhem everywhere. Of course it’s worse because it’s so dense but it’s not fair to expect Lakewood to be like a suburb. I don’t support the township allowing what’s been happening for the last 30 years without adding infrastructure to support it but there’s a happy medium between a suburb and a chicken coop.
