The poem was written by Rav Hutner ZT"L based on the words of רבי אלעזר אזכרי in sefer Charedim and His talmid Rav Shmuel Brazil composed the tune.בלבבי משכן אבנה להדר כבודו

ולקרבן אקריב לו את נפשי היחידה

CORRECTION- one word in the Hebrew lyrics posted is incorrect. It's "o'sim", not "o'kim".

ReplyDeleteI believe that Yossi Toiv (later to be called "Country Yossi") recorded his famous song "Oh the World" on this album also.
ReplyDeletethe nigun was song in CB at mesibas chasal for years - way before SB was a mechaber any nigunim. Tradition was it was from the RY. The words I was told were from R' Yehuda HaLevi - but I have not found them.
