- Trump: Canada doesn’t even allow U.S. Banks to open or do business there. What’s that all about? - NJ assemblyboasses bill ntroduced by Assemblyman Avi Schnall  that will require construction inspectors to provide a two-and-a-half-hour timeframe for their arrival at a worksite. If an inspector arrives while the builder has stepped away, the inspection is canceled, forcing costly delays and inefficiencies.

-  Trump: Democrats are purposefully delaying virtually all of my Nominees. No matter how good and well qualified someone is, they are taking maximum time for approval — and laughing about it. They’re having a good time at the Country’s expense and safety. If George Washington and Abraham Lincoln were nominated for a position, the Democrats would take it out to the last moment before having to approve. It is disgraceful! They can’t get over the landslide loss suffered in the Presidential Election. But the Democrats don’t understand, with what they’re doing, that their losses will only get greater. Republicans must GET TOUGH — AND MUST GET TOUGH VERY FAST. We need our Nominees NOW, for the Safety and Good of our Country!

    1. I don’t know when the segula of saying Parshas Hamon on the Tuesday of ג' בשלח became widespread. I personally do not say it but claiming that it only became common after it was published in a sefer in 1991 like the link here does is false. I’m old enough to remember before 1991 and remember that it was very common and widespread among Chasidim then too.

    1. They have smaller volumes so need to charge more to make a profit.

    2. Because they don't have yearly contracts from wholesalers and need to buy on market prices. The other stores have a contract and pay a set price all year.

      Delete
    3. I’m sorry. I don’t believe that for a second. They do huge volume - and no one is selling them eggs for twice as much as the others.

    4. Because they can get the higher price.
I see people buying 4-5-6 dozen no matter what the price

Only people who complain are on heflervelt
Have you ever seen a heimishe discount grocery store?
(Only Friedmans on 13 Ave between 39 and 40 Sts some twenty years ago.)

    5. 3:07 Huge is relative. In your little world, Npgs might be a huge store. But say Walmart or shoprite or Aldi's have hundreds of stores and buy hundreds times more eggs per year then the huge NPGS store...........

  14. I hope that all your readers are saying Parshas Haman on this Tuesday of Parshas Beshalach. You should actually say it every day. It's important to internalise the message: The Aibeshter provides "mezonos" which means your needs. He calculated that eggs were going to be outrageously expensive. But since you need eggs for basic cooking, your mezonos allowance will cover the bill, even if eggs break the $10.00 mark! Its not a finite amount of money that He gives, that if you overspend, or conversely, are miserly, will run our before you have your needs for existence. The 10.00 check you might have received 25 years ago had greater buying power than today's 10.00 check. But in His Kindness, the Aibeshter does the budgeting for you and provides food, garments, a roof over your head, medical insurance and schar limud too. You might think that you deserve more than your money is able to procure, but everything is in the cheshbon. You can earn a lot and lose it to the IRS, an unexpected dental expense, tire replacement or therapy for your kids. So daven every day and sincerely thank H-shem every day for your bounty.
