Iirc In my little experience male therapists were far more competent than the females

ReplyDeleteThe RY is trying to calm her down, but shemira for hilchos yichud does not prevent a bond forming between them - much like if a man and woman are in public so there are no yichud issues, they can certainly shmooz about this and that and get familiar with each other. Is there a source that says the wife being there prevents anything besides yichud? There is such a thing as a platonic conversation ("Hello Mrs Klein, how is your husband? I just saw him at shul, he's such a good friend. Great, great guy" and g'endikt), but there is no such thing as platonic shmoozing. She should beware.
