Israel At War Thursday Feb 27

 Israel at war day 510

- IDF released today their investigation into the 10/7 conduct of the IDF, and prior to 10/7, here are the key takeaways from it.(Jewish warrior)

The IDF did not consider the scenario of a broad surprise attack. It was perceived as unlikely, and not even a scenario close to it. This is a key issue that the IDF was not prepared for

The Gaza Division was defeated after several hours. Between 6:30 and 12:30, the IDF did not control the area surrounding Gaza, and most of the massacres and kidnappings took place. It took the IDF about 10 hours to begin to regain operational control of the area until most of the terrorists were eliminated—or returned to the Strip.

The IDF was surprised by the attack itself, by the enormous number of terrorists that flooded the Gaza perimeter, by the mobility and speed of the terrorists, and by the incredible cruelty that Hams had planned.

The IDF was conscious of intelligence superiority and control over reality: it was utterly confident that there would be an early intelligence warning before any attack.

The IDF relied on misconceptions that collapsed, according to which the Gaza Strip is the secondary enemy and therefore requires less engagement, Hams is deterred and interested in peace and civilian benefits, the conflict with Hams can be managed and even promoted with it, and Hams and the Palestinian Authority can be differentiated.

- Prime Minister Netanyahu has instructed the negotiating delegation to leave for Cairo today to continue talks.

- Israeli official: We will not leave the Philadelphi corridor. We will not allow Hamas murderers to once again roam our borders with pickup trucks and guns, and we will not allow them to regain strength from smuggling.

-Israel Defense Minister Katz at a regional council conference:  “We had information that Hams planned to attack soldiers and communities - during the ceasefire. Like in Lebanon and Syria, the Philadelphi axis will remain a buffer zone.  I saw with my own eyes quite a few tunnels penetrating Philadelphi. Some of them were closed, and some were open.

-Under the direction of the Biden administration, Approximately $2 billion in US government funds have reached Hamas through USAID since October 7th, helping it survive
$ 2.1 billion has been poured into the Gaza Strip since October 7th.
This happened under the claim that it was an emergency, and therefore, there was an urgency for the money to enter Gaza. As a result, exemptions were granted from checking whether the money was going to terrorist organizations. No screening was done.
As a result, 90% of the money and aid reached areas controlled by Hamas, helping Hamas continue to survive until the recent ceasefire.
