- Another winter storm is in the forecast for New Jersey that could hit the southern half of the state with 3 to 6 inches of snow starting Tuesday. NWS predicting 3-5 for Lakewood 

Counties between I-80 and I-195 could see 1 to 3 inches of snow, with lesser amounts in northern New Jersey.

No more pennies for the pushka

- BDE: Petirah of Mrs. Esther Rosenbaum A”H, (nee mandel) wife of Ybl"c Rav Dovid shlita noted talmid chochom and supporter of Torah they lived near yeshiva on 6th st. She passed away this morning following an illness at the age of 71. 

She was a daughter of Rav Menachem Manis Mandel zt”l, the founder of Yeshiva of Brooklyn.

The levaya will take place  2:30 PM at their son in laws yeshiva,  Toras Yisroel, 1367 Lanes Mill Rd in Lakewood, with kevurah at the local bais hachaim. She is survived by her children Mrs. Kokis, Mrs. Klein, Mrs. Landerer, Mrs. Kohn, Mrs. Stern, Mrs. Hershfeld, Mrs. Tauber, Mrs. Olshin and Mrs. Hassan.

- Lakewood Residents were stuck in traffic this past Friday Erev Shabbos due to construction on Central Ave that was not an emergency. Mo word yet from township officials if they will move the construction to a off peak schedule.

- Large crowd of supporters took to the streets of the heavily immigrant City of Passaic on Saturday in a show of solidarity amid an ICE crackdown. Marchers carried flags of Mexico,  other countries and signs in English and Spanish reading, “Migration is Natural,” “Sin Miedo (Without Fear),” and “Deport Elon".

- A federal judge, citing a risk of “irreparable harm,” has temporarily restricted Elon Musk’s government efficiency team from accessing a critical Treasury Department payment system.

The judge’s order, temporarily halts access to a sensitive payment system that distributes Americans’ tax returns, Social Security benefits, disability payments and federal employees’ salaries.

US District Judge Paul Engelmayer ordered the destruction of any downloaded information from the payment system by anyone given access to it since January 20, citing “the risk that the new policy presents of the disclosure of sensitive and confidential information and the heightened risk that the systems in question will be more vulnerable than before to hacking.”

- Matzav: On Shabbos afternoon in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, two Jews were assaulted during an attempted stabbing incident. The attack took place around 12:30 PM at the intersection of Union St and Albany Ave when the assailant, without warning, approached one of the victims and tried to stab him in the neck with a sharp object. Fortunately, the victim managed to avoid severe harm. The attacker then pushed the second victim to the ground, injuring him, and proceeded to threaten others in the vicinity. Local shmira caught the suspect and handed him to police.
