- Rav Shaul Alter shlita Gur Rosh Yeshiva will be coming to the US next week for a 10 day  visit. He will be spending shabbos on Lakewood parshas mishpatim with supporters and a shaleseuodos open to the public at his BM on Lucy dr. He's arriving on 18 shevat and returning on the 27th. The itinerary has him visiting Boro park first and after Lakewood he will travel to Baltimore, sparking speculation that he may visit President Trump in Washington DC.

- Giyus: A yeshiva bochur was arrested today at Ben-Gurion Airport  after authorities discovered that he did not have a deferment from the army . This is the first attest since the army issued notices to 3000 yeshiva students.

- Trump Administration to only keep 294 USAID staff out of the 10,000 globally.

- Trump will sign an order today imposing sanctions on senior officials of the International Criminal Court in The Hague and their families in light of the court's activities against Americans and Israelis. The sanctions will be applied on two levels: financially and on the US visa level

- Food stamps update federal government investigating, LPD asks local victims to reach out. As of yesterday about 50 families effected in what appears to be an organized scheme in a few states.

-U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi has announced the formation of “JTF 10-7,” a joint task force uniting multiple American law enforcement and intelligence agencies. The initiative aims to seek justice for victims of the October 7, 2023, terrorist attack in Israel, counter Ham@s and its affiliates, and combat anti-Semitic terrorism and civil rights violations within the U.S.

- Massive Theft of SNAP Benefits in Lakewood, NJ: Over $100,000 Stolen mid widespread skimming scheme Matzav reports disturbing series of thefts has left local families reeling as reports emerge that over $100,000 in SNAP/food stamps benefits have been stolen from the accounts of residents in the area. The thefts, which have been occurring over the past few days, are believed to be the result of a sophisticated card skimming operation linked to a local kosher food store. According to multiple sources, the store involved has been identified, and its owner is reportedly aware of the situation and is cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation. more

- Lakewood girls high school application process will take place with one testing place at Bais Faiga on Sunday March, 2. Applications for schools will be given out on site. The notice  claims that Acceptance letters will be mailed 2 weeks after Pesach

- Giyus updates: The IDF is prepared to expand the enforcement actions against yeshiva students, including ultra-Orthodox students who do not enlist in the army.

The army  prepared a list of 1,242 yeshiva students whom the IDF was preparing to place into the military prison. In addition, 1,212 more Yeshiva students are on the verge of entering the list. These students are among the 3,000 yeshiva students who received conscription orders, in the first conscription trimester. This is because the length of time from the failure to appear to the issuance of arrest warrants is about four months.

- Lakewood issued 305 housing building permits in 2020, another 488 in 2021, an additional 664 in 2022 and then 417 in 2023. As of November 2024, 316 permits were issued for last year.APP

- App reports  on yeshiva  chemdas HaTorah campus application.  The court said that we have a right to be heard,” said John Paul Doyle, attorney for the yeshiva and the builders. “And we look forward to being heard with an application that is consistent and seeks no variance.” But a group of neighbors who oppose the project claims the project would add to traffic and other problems already affecting the neighborhood. The board ordered a traffic study and will continue hearing the application at the March 4th meeting. Residents said this development has nothing to do with chemdas Hatorah and only using it as a loophole for an educational campus which the township allowed a higher density.
