Lkwd News Briefs June 5, 2019

-Lakewood Primary results: Republican Issac Akerman   1,112 votes uncontested
 Democrat Moshe Raitzik 538 Votes uncontested  There is one seat up for election in November

-Toms River Republican  Councilman Maurice "Mo" Hill was chosen as candidate for mayor in November.  defeating  former Ocean County prosecutor Joseph Coronato and Toms River Councilman Daniel Rodrick.

- Local Media reports on story of Rabbi who is calling on Catholic priests and evangelicals to join together in  protesting the Pride events in Lakewood (HERE ) on June 6th 9:30 pm New Hampshire and Cedarbridge. On social media others are planning a counter protest.

-Fatal accident last night on rt 9 in Howell at Kent rd
