West aeeas near Westgate, E veterans Jackson  up to Cooks bridge near Flair. Cause of outage possible from brush fires in Manchester near power lines.

- A magnitude 1.7 earthquake was detected early this afternoon near Washington Township, New Jersey according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

No damage was reported from the tremor, which is the sixth one detected in New Jersey so far this year.

- Trump says a military hospital, research facilities and meeting rooms, for the military, are being built below the White House ballroom.

- A new bill introduced by New Jersey state lawmakers would eliminate the state’s current restriction on ammunition magazine capacity.Right now, New Jersey law defines a “large capacity magazine” as one that holds more than 10 rounds, and possession of such a magazine is a fourth-degree crime.

- BDE: Petira of Mr. Albert (Avrumi) Itzkowitz, 75, a veteran Hatzalah member and beloved figure in the Queens Jewish community, was tragically found shot Monday afternoon along the Kissena Lake shoreline in East Flushing. He was sadly pronounced dead at the scene. No arrests have been made.

- Unofficial reports from Agudat Yisrael members indicate that tomorrow, immediately after the Knesset is dissolved, announcements will be made regarding the replacement of most or all of Agudat Yisrael's knesset  representatives, and the new names will be declared. 

- Giyus: Two Lubavitcher soldiers serving in the IDF were reportedly disciplined for not cutting their hair during Sefiras HaOmer, in accordance with the longstanding Chabad minhag observed between Pesach and Shavuos. The soldiers were stopped by military police, issued citations, and summoned to disciplinary proceedings because they had not received haircuts.

- NJ Assembly yesterday approved bill to rein in prescription drug middlemen.The New Jersey Office of Legislative Services says the proposed bill could have an unclear (indeterminate) impact on costs. It may both increase and decrease prescription drug and health insurance expenses for the state, school districts, and NJ FamilyCare, but the overall financial effect cannot currently be determined.Assemplyman Avi Schnall is a co sponsor 

- Giyus: The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee receives a report showing that the IDF recorded 2,420 reports of .... misconduct in “military-related circumstances” in 2025 Seventy percent involved male perpetrators and female victims. Of the complainants, 1,798 concerned conscript soldiers, 188 concerned reservists

- The International Criminal Court has filed a request for an international arrest warrant against Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich for suspicions of "war crimes, crimes against humanity, and the crime of apartheid," against Palestinians in the West Bank.
