Iran Israel Updates Sunday May 17

- Israel and the United States have reportedly raised their military readiness levels amid growing discussions over a possible renewed strike on Iran. According to an Israeli source cited by Kann News, if President Trump approves further military action against Iran, any future operation is expected to be carried out jointly by both countries.

- Trump is expected to hold a meeting on Tuesday with the senior national security team - to discuss options for military action ( Axios)

- Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Trump spoke a short while ago and coordinated the continuation of joint actions against Iran.

American Airlines extended its suspension of nonstop New York-Tel Aviv flights today through Jan. 6, 2027.

- The prevailing assessment inside Iran is that President Trump may resort to restarting military action, and Tehran is now deliberately pursuing a strategy of “deception and delay” with the hopes that buying time will complicate any potential return to war,” two regional intelligence officials told Fox News
