Iran Israel Updates Thurs May 14

- According to AXIOS Israeli officials say that over this weekend, Israel will be at the highest level of readiness as the country awaits President Trump's decision on resuming the war against Iran.

- Trump may make the next decision about Iran immediately after the end of his China trip.
Options on the table include resuming the "Freedom Project" to break the Strait of Hormuz deadlock and also starting a new round of attacks on Iran's infrastructure. Israel will also be on full alert if the war resumes.

- Trump in a  long social post: ..."the military decimation of Iran (to be continued!)..."

-  CENTCOM: "Today, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis are all cut off from Iran's weapons supply and support."

- BBC: The ship hijacked today to Iran near the Strait of Hormuz serves as a "floating weapons warehouse" storing arms for private companies that protect at sea against pirate activities

-  Iran has reportedly seized a ship off the coast of the UAE, ramping up tensions in the region as disputes grow over alleged attacks and a denied Netanyahu visit.

- President Donald Trump said Chinese President Xi Jinping offered to help keep the Strait of Hormuz open and pledged not to send military equipment to support Iran in its conflict involving the U.S. and Israel. Trump made the comments on Fox News, saying Xi “strongly” committed to not providing military aid and expressed willingness to assist in opening the waterway

- 3 civilians wounded, 2 seriously, in Hezbollah drone attack near Rosh Hanikra at a shopping mall parking lot.

- The IDF says it intercepted an apparent Hezbollah drone over an area of southern Lebanon where troops are deployed a short while ago.

- Israel Defense Minister Katz : We may need to return to operations in Iran soon.

- Iran Revolutionary Guards: About 30 ships have crossed the Strait of Hormuz "with Tehran's approval" since last night

- Treasury Sec. Bessent on Iran: "We believe we're at a point where Iran is not paying soldiers or replenishing weapons stocks from abroad."

- WSJ: PM Netanyahu's secret visit to the Emirates took place on March 26, accompanied by senior officials in the Israeli security establishment

- PM Netanyahu: “Today I instructed my legal advisers to consider the harshest legal action against The New York Times and Nicholas Kristof. They defamed the soldiers of Israel and perpetuated a blood libel about rape, trying to create a false symmetry between the genocidal terrorists of Hamas and Israel’s valiant soldiers. Under my leadership, Israel will not be silent. We will fight these lies in the court of public opinion and in the court of law. Truth will prevail.”
