Iran Israel Updates Friday May 1

-Trump: Iran isn’t coming through with the kind of deal that we need to have. We’re going to get this thing done properly. We’re not going to leave early and then have the problem arise in 3 years.

- Trump: If we didn’t stop Iran with B-2 bombers, they would’ve had a nuclear weapon. Israel, the Middle East, and Europe would hlave been blown to pieces.

- Wall Street Journal: Iran softened its proposal - it dropped the demand for an immediate end to the US naval blockade

- Trump: “We just had a conversation with Iran. Let's see what happens, but I would say that I'm not happy... They've got to come up with the right deal. At this moment, I'm not satisfied with what they're offering."

Trump: "When this war ends, gasoline and oil and everything, it's going to come tumbling down.""Other prices are way down, but gasoline's high. But when this is over, you'll have a world without a nuclear weapon with Iran. If you allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon, the world would be in great jeopardy. So it's not going to happen. As soon as the war ends, the gasoline prices will come down."

- CENTCOM commander Admiral Brad Cooper and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Dan Caine briefed President Trump last night for 45 minutes on new operational plans for strikes against Iran, according to two senior US officials

- Iran sent its latest proposal for negotiations with the United States to Pakistani mediators yesterday, state news agency IRNA announces.

- Senior Trump Administration Official tells Reuters: The war on Iran has ended, due to the War Powers Resolution, designed to curb the President's authority to engage in military conflict without congressional consent.

- Senior IDF official: If we do not remove the enriched uranium from Iran, everything we did in Operation "Roaring Lion" was one big failure

- The United States helped deliver 6,500 tons of munitions and military equipment in just 24 hours. In a statement from Israel's Ministry of Defense, two cargo ships carrying thousands of air and ground munitions, military trucks, Joint Light Tactical Vehicles (JLTVs), and additional military equipment were offloaded at the ports in Ashdod and Haifa.

- WSJ: reports on the escalating economic crisis within Iran.”The war has imposed a high cost on Iran’s economy, with more than a million people out of work, soaring food prices, and a prolonged internet shutdown that has slammed online businesses. Its crisis-hit economy is now facing the risk of collapse. The value of Iran’s currency has more than halved since a year ago, and the U.S. dollar’s exchange rate recently surged to 1.81 million rials as the blockade showed no sign of ending.”

- Spokesperson of the Iranian Foreign Ministry: "It is not realistic to expect quick results from the negotiations with the USA."

- Israeli military is optimistic that a solution will be found to counter the threat of Hezbollah’s first-person view (FPV) fiber-optic cable-guided drones, which have been repeatedly used in attacks on Israeli troops in southern Lebanon and northern Israel in recent weeks.
