- Agudath yisroel held a pre Siyum Hashas event today kicking off the countdown to the 14th cycle of the  Daf Yomi Siyum Hashas which will take place next year Rosh chodesh Sivan June 6. A campaign video showed how the Siyum is impacting 1 million people  due to the increase in popularity of loaded daf yomi since last siyum with the new online shiurim.

- Toms River resident and former Hillside, New Jersey police officer has been sentenced to 17 years in state prison for a 2021 crash in Monmouth County that killed a husband and wife. He was impaired by marijuana when he caused a crash. John P. McClave III, 39, of Toms River, was sentenced before Ocean County Superior Court Judge David M. Fritch after being convicted by a jury of two counts of second-degree vehicular homicide. The crash occurred on October 9, 2021, on Asbury Avenue near the Garden State Parkway overpass in Tinton Falls.
