Motzei Shavuos News Updates Lakewood

Weather tonight: 53° Showers this evening, becoming a steady rain overnight. Chance of rain 100%. Rainfall around a quarter of an inch.  Tomorrow 60° A steady rain in the morning. Showers continuing in the afternoon. Chance of rain 90%. Rainfall around a half an inch. Locally heavy rainfall possible.

- Over 100,000 people came to the kosel over Shavuos and Shabbos. For Vasikin there were 20,000 at the plaza.

- BDE: Petirah of Rav Yisroel Chaim Pichey Z”L, who was niftar over Shavuos at the age of 91.
He was a rebbe in Yeshiva of Brooklyn  for many years before moving to Lakewood several years ago. He was a son in law of  R' Elimelech Mike Tress ztl.
He was from the early talmidim of Yesha Telz Cleveland.
 He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Donya Pichey, and his children R’ Eli, R’ Shloimy,  Mrrs. Rochel Levine, Mrs. Hena Rivka Willner,  Mrs. Chaya Sara Lefkowitz,  Mrs. Leebah Kahn,  Mrs. Dusie Basch, Mrs. Shevy Eisgrau. The levaya is scheduled  for tomorrow Sunday in Lakewood at 9:30 AM at the chapel off 7th st with kevurah in the Wellwood cemetery on Long Island.

- A Neelas hachag took place at BMG with  divrei chizuk delivered byvRav Yisroel Neuman shlita. Followed by dancing that went past the zman

- For the first time a neelas Hachag took place in Brisk Yeshiva at the new apt adjacent to the yeshiva on Rechov Press with the participation of supporters from the US who were spending  Shavuos in Yerushalayim  bhol

The Mashgiach Rav Don Segal shlita made a bracha of Shechayanu on erev YT  upon the publication of the new Sefer Ketzos Hachoshen featuring his footnotes the sefer is called Yeshios Don on the Ketzos.

At Mir Yerushalayim thousands celebrated the Yim Tov at the Yeshiva with shmuesen delivered by the Rosh Yeshiva Rav Lazer Yudel and the mashgiach Rav Binyomin Finkel the 3nd day for the American bichurim. The niggun of Kad Yasvun was sung before shachris.

- In Vizhnitz Bnei Brak, chassidim celebrated a historic hachnosas sefer Torah written by the Rebbe during the medical treatments he underwent in Los Angeles. On Erev Yom Tov, the Rebbe danced with the Torah atop a specially constructed platform.

- Thousands of Satmar Chasidim attended the Neelas Hachag in Kiryas Yoel Monroe culminating  spending Yom Tov with the rebbe. Followed  by the Bagleitin ceremony outdoors where everyone wishes the rebbe on Motzei Shavuos 

- Trump: Thank you to our great Secret Service and Law Enforcement for the swift and professional action taken this evening against a gunman near the White House, who had a violent history and possible obsession with our Country's most cherished structure. The gunman is dead after an exchange of gunfire with Secret Service Agents near the White House gates. This event is one month removed from the White House Correspondent'Dinner shooting, and goes to show how important it is, for all future Presidents, to get, what will be, the most safe and secure space of its kind ever built in Washington, D.C. The National Security of our Country demands it!

- After a customer wrote on Twitter that B&H photo won't let him checkout because their website observes Shabbat and said he would order from another site, users listed backbin strong support if the frum owned store for  sticking to their religious values. On the end The customer ordered the item 4 hours later from B&H.

- Early voting begins in New Jersey on Tuesday ahead of the June 2nd primary.

Trump in Monsey on Friday 1st day Shavuos
Thousands of supporters gathered Friday at Rockland Community College as President Donald Trump made a historic visit to Rockland County alongside Rep. Mike Lawler, marking the first presidential appearance in the county in nearly 50 yeara. Organizers said more than 5,000 people attended the campaign-style event focused on affordability, tax relief, and the economy. Nearby shuls on Forshay Ŕd had Trump signs welcoming the president to the area.
