- Welcome home yeshiva bochurim off shabbos after Shavuos.

- Lakewood Girls high school acceptance letters have not yet been sent out as there's over 300 girls still not placed. Some girls thought were notified that they were accepted into schools.

- At last night’s Township Committee meeting, lasted all about 15 minutes  with 2 email comments. One resident complained about poor Verizon Wireless service throughout Lakewood and urged officials to take action to improve reception in town. Mayor Ray Coles responded that he had recently spent two weeks in Alaska and had better phone service there between the mountains than he does at home in Lakewood.

Another resident raised concerns about the ongoing nightly road closures and traffic disruptions across town. In response, the mayor advised residents to follow Lakewood Police Department traffic alerts for updates on closures and detours. But there was total silence from the mayor and committee members about the actual traffic and road closures they took zero responsibility didn't addressed or even acknowledge what is happening every single day and night.

- Adirei Hatorah: Many are trying to get tickets for the maamad in Philadelphia. There's several watsapp chats for private ticket sales. While the venue in Cure Arena is only a hook up there may be some presence during the event by some Rabbonim or Roshei yeshiva. Rav Yitzchok Soloveitchik shlita  from EY is  scheduled to speak.

- Nvidia could pay homeowners up to $1,000 a month to host a mini AI data center in their backyard. From the street, it looks like a normal AC unit. Inside: 16 Blackwell GPUs running at full capacity.

- Giyus: A Belzer avreich was arrested today in Kiryat Gat for  draft dodging. 3 more bochurim were arrested in Lod. Now with increased arrests the frum Knesset members and leadership are speaking out a d calling for not cooperating at all with the Israel Police in all matters. Belz chasidus threatened not to cooperate with current army programs they are part of.

- Faa news:  Residents at Tuesday’s Lakewood Republican Club meeting criticized Township Committee member Deborah Fuentes over what they described as a lack of visibility and engagement with the community. - NY Gov. Hochul signed new legislation that will require New York drivers with more than 16 speed camera tickets to install speed-limiting devices in their vehicles.

- The home owner of the house in Etobicoke,Toronto  where Esther was found told the Toronto Sun he was not home when police recused the 14-year-old and took his tenant into the police station for questioning.

- BDE: Petirah of Rav Yitzchok Alster zt”l a noted talmid Rav Yitzchok Hutner zt”l., Rosh Yeahiva a d marbitz Torah. He was born in Germany and moves before WW2 to The USA. He came to learn  at yeshiva Chaim Berlin in 1953 
After his marriage In 1967, he founded the “Yeshiva Gedolah of Pittsburgh” and served as its Rosh Yeshiva. In 1985, he founded “Kollel HaTorah” for working men in Flatbush, Brooklyn, which operated within the bais medrash  of Kehillas Veretzky.
In 2004, he merited to immigrate to eretz Yisroel and settled in the Har Nof neighborhood of Yerushalayim where he taught at Yeshiva Pachad Yitzchok.
He was also a talented composer of music. He composed many songs that became enduring classics in Jewish music, including the melodies for Yedid Nefesh and VaHaviotim El Har Kodshi, dovka nafshi and others. Levaya took place today in Har Nof. He is survived by his choshuv mishpacha of bnei Torah including his son in law Rav Chaim Yitzchok Kaplan shlita mashgiach in  Chevron Yeshiva.

  1. The צד השווה between Yidden living in America and in Eretz Yisroel is that there is an element of political leadership and askanus that has done absolutely nothing while people suffer. Instead, they enrich themselves through powerful positions and influence.

    Then, when election season arrives, they suddenly wake up with fake outrage, empty promises, and PR campaigns pretending to care.

    The olam in Lakewood is suffering from the same culture of askanim rule where insiders protect themselves while ordinary families struggle.
