  1. Let's be honest, the bochurim arrested yesterday were Sephardim and that's why no one cares. Until the Sephardim gather up the self respect to actually name the names of the Ashkenazi Rosh Yeshivas and politicians selling them out Cantonist style, it won't end.

    1. It’s appalling that certain so-called “frum” media outlets are calling for the arrests of protesting bochurim, who are acting under the guidance of their Rebbeim. Many feel that frum social media news has become a disgrace, and it’s shameful that mainstream organizations choose to advertise with them.

    2. The army is very smart and are arresting only bochurim that the askanim can excuse with reasons why they are not protesting all out.
So far they claim these bochurim are not full time or other silly excuses. While there's arrests every day and not a peep.

    2. You can be litvish heimish. Heimish just means you carry some resemblance to the heim (or haim if you like that better). Heimish was just the term for chareidi before we got influenced by the Israeli culture.

I may be wrong but i think the large protest that was held earlier this year was for a sefardi bachur

  4. Does anyone actually think that these protests work? All they do is cause the chilonim to hate us even more, and it causes many charedim to miss doctor appointments, seder, shiurim, tfila betzibur, and putting their children to sleep on time. There's a reason the Gedolim haven't endorsed these wild protests.

    1. They may not endorse them but they don't condemn either. If the same bachurim attended a separate seating concert, then you would hear from those Gedolim.

  6. Which Rabbonim would those be?
Are they Rabbonim who were appointed by their Kehillos? Or did they open a Shul, provide a chulent, and then call themselves Rabbonim?

Why don't they tell us who they are?

I am all for competition for organizations, but they should identify themselves.

  7. For medically involved patients, Hatzalas Nefashos is a real game changer. They will transport where the patient needs to go when Hatzala cannot. They will coordinate with a medical referral agency to help figure out the best hospital to head to. I had to use them and was blown away at how different it was the experience. The hospital had a team in place for us as we walked in because of the preceding calls made by Hatzqlas Nefashos.

    2. Did they once again encourage schools to raise tuition? Many of their initiatives over the past few years have ultimately been passed on to parents to fund, and as a result, a growing number of families are now unable to keep up with tuition payments.

  12. Anon 4:40 exactly my thoughts. Instead of helping the schools financially they raised tuition for the parents in a way that's completely not sustainable. Schools need to fundraiser not from the parent body!!!
