- New Jersey Gas Tax Rate Will Increase by 4.2 Cents Effective January 1, 2026
The Department of the Treasury announced today that New Jersey’s gas tax rate will increase by 4.2 cents per gallon beginning on January 1, 2026 to support the State’s Transportation Trust Fund (TTF) program. New Jersey’s gas tax is increasing in 2026 because a new tate law (Chapter 7) requires the gas-tax-funded Transportation Trust Fund to bring in more money each year to pay for road and bridge projects.
Since fuel consumption has gone down, the current tax rate won’t raise enough money to meet the required funding level. To close the gap, the formula in the law automatically triggers a 4.2-cent-per-gallon increase starting January 1, 2026.

ReplyDelete"...

Deletewhat type of fish is in the gefilte fish? isnt it carp?
ReplyDeleteEvery Yeshiva bochur was taught that chicken grows on trees in plastic wrapped styrofoam trays, and gefilte fish grows in frozen cylinders in plastic bags.
DeleteYou know that yeshivot don't teach anything real-worldly.
(When I grew up, my mother would send me to buy lebediger feesh. You couldn't even buy that today, except for lobsters. And it wasn't that many years ago.)

DeleteSo 'real world' is how to make gefilte fish.
Yeshivos only teach unimportant things, like what Hashem wants when two people are arguing about a boat, or how kidushin is done.
Am haaretz!
Interetting.
DeleteCan you show ut any evidence to thit Yeshiva teaching of chickens growing on treet?
Or did your tchools teach you that evidence is unnecettary?
(For some reason, the experienced 'feesh buyer' thinks that replacing an s with a t makes him sound 'real-worldly'.)
See, the real worldly people get degrees from colleges who teach them to scream 'from the river to the sea'. In a recent poll by NBC, 63% of Americans recognize that a college degree just isn't worth it. But to some clown who isn't sure as to whether it, they, that or kookoo is a human/man or woman and whether there's any meaning to its existence, they need to slander us. 👍

ReplyDeleteI have noticed that for months there is a shortage of heimishe brand sardines. Does anyone know why???
ReplyDeleteThere is a world wide sardine shortage due to climate change.
Deleteand over fishing, it's not world wide it's just in Morocco the country that makes most of the world's canned sardines.
DeleteCostco has plenty of sardines. What makes heimish brand sardines? A chasid catches them??? They are all caught the same way
ReplyDelete@Anonymous 9:03 PM
DeleteDo some research and find out. From my research there are more than one species of sardines, and the heimish brand uses the larger (moroccan) one that has no problem (hopefully) of Anisakis. Also they are certified bishul yisroel which may be required even for sardines as per the chazon ish. Maybe go eat a can of your costco sardines and keep your oily fingers off your keyboard
There's a problem with dolfins jumping into the sardine nets.
DeleteQuestion is, is it really true or not.
It's like the filtering of water. A chunrsh not indicated by the facts.
Enjoy your chunmros of eating heimishe sardines. If it makes you happy that a chusid with a gartel that went to the mikva caught the sardines for you.
Deletesardines are not tuna so not sure why you want heimish..
