Approximately twenty years ago, on Purim morning, R’ Nachman suffered a heart attack while learning in Beth Medrash Govoha. The episode left him significantly weakened, and he never fully recovered. Since that time, he had been undergoing rehabilitation at home. He was niftar suddenly on Friday morning.The levaya will take place at 1:00 pm in BMG  Yoshon Bais Nedrash on 7th street with Kevurah to follow in the Lakewood bais olam.

- Today  Friday, December 26, 2025, following President Trump’s declaration of a federal holiday, federal government offices, some federal services like Social Security and passport agencies, and certain U.S. embassies were closed. - Point Pleasant draw bridge to close for two months for maintenance

The Lovelandtown Bridge connecting the borough to Bay Head is scheduled to close for two months beginning Jan. 5 for key repairs, the state Department of Transportation said. Crews plan to re-tension the support cables on the Route13/Bridge Street bridge that passes over the Point Pleasant Canal, officials said.(APP)

He contrasted American and Israeli culture and warned against what he described as the ideological agenda behind military conscription. He characterized American culture as “innocent” and rooted in religious freedom, while describing Israel as a Zionist state using the army to shape a “new nation.” He cautioned that conscription, including of women, is designed to weaken religious observance, noting that even many religious-Zionist youth abandon their faith after service.
