- The Prime Minister’s Office said this evening that, under the direction of Netanyahu, Hostages and Missing Coordinator Gal Hirsch traveled to Cairo this morning for talks with senior officials on efforts to recover the body of fallen hostage Ran Gvili HYD. The delegation included representatives from the IDF, ISA, and Mossad

- Talik Gvili, mother of the sole remaining deceased hostage Ran Gvili, says in a public statement that she is joining Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his flight to the US for his December 28 meeting with US President Donald Trump.

-  PM Netanyahu in a message to Iran: “New threats are born, we are not seeking conflicts but our eyes are wide open’

- Hamas says that an explosive device that lightly wounded an IDF officer earlier today in Rafah was caused by undetonated ordnance left over by the Israeli military itself. The IDF officer was wounded when an explosive device hit a Namer armored personnel carrier in Rafah’s Jenina neighborhood, located on the Israeli side of the Gaza ceasefire line, according to the IDF.
Netanyahu: "Today we experienced an attack by Hamas, they have no intention of disarming, we will respond."

- Israeli Deputy Minister Almog Cohen reveals on the Knesset floor that already on the evening of 10/7, the Shin Bet, with the help of an informant in the Hamas terrorist organization code name 'Green Sardine,' knew about a gathering of Nukhba terrorists in mosques around 03:30 AM - information that, if it had reached the right places, could have prevented the death of many Israelis.

- PM Netanyahu's office: Hamas continues to violate the ceasefire and the Trump plan. Their ongoing public refusal to disarm is a blatant ongoing violation, and today their violent intentions and violations were again confirmed by the detonation of an explosive device that injured an IDF officer. Hamas must be held to the agreement they signed, which includes removal from power, disarmament, and de-radicalization. Israel will respond accordingly.

- IDF: Along with senior Hamas military leader Raad Saad, a terrorist who recruited tens of millions of dollars for Hamas's military wing, was also eliminated in a strike.

The bill now heads to the Knesset Constitution, Law and Justice Committee. Several coalition MKs, including Likud’s Yuli Edelstein and New Hope’s Zeev Elkin, did not vote, while Shas and Degel Hatorah backed the measure and Agudat Yisrael members were absent or abstained.

- With the reports in the Arab media about an "abduction operation" by Israel in which a former Lebanese officer connected to the disappearance of Ron Arad was kidnapped - IDF Air Force Commander Tomer Bar concludes his final speech at the graduation ceremony of the flight course with the words: "We will continue and hope that Ron Arad, who was sent on a mission like all of us, will be returned."
