NWS: Tornado Watch until 10:00 PM Includes Ocean county

- At Least 22 Deaths as Ida’s Remnants Hit Northeast  New York City officials said 7 residents were killed after the former hurricane swamped the area Wednesday into Thursday. Police in New York City reported seven deaths, including a 50-year-old man, a 48-year-old woman and a 2-year-old boy who were found unconscious and unresponsive late Wednesday inside a home. They were pronounced dead at the scene, police said. One death was confirmed in New Jersey.

- NWS: "We're hearing reports that crews are running out of resources to rescue people stuck in flood waters. People are continuing to drive into flood waters resulting in hundreds of water rescues. Please, unless you must travel, stay home tonight if you live in NJ or PA. 

- 11:00 pm Major heavy flooding in Brooklyn, Williamsburg,  Staten Island shuls have flooded Chaveirim trying to rescue sifrei Torah some RL got damaged. People trapped in cars, airports flooded flights to Uman cancelled. Newark airport shut down.

- 10:05 pm Gov  Murphy declares a STATE OF EMERGENCY EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY in response to Tropical Storm IDA he said to Stay off the roads, stay home, and stay safe. Power outages across the state

- 9:56 pm FLASH FLOOD WARNING in Lakewood Jackson Howell untill 1:45am  The NWS issued a severe alert buzzing on phones for Lakewood People should not travel calling it a HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding caused by heavy rain.

- At 956 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flash flooding across the warned area. Several roads are closed in Keyport and Hazlet Township in Monmouth County. Between 1 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 0.5 to 1.5 inches in 1 hour. Flash flooding is already occurring.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 145 AM EDT THURSDAY FOR EASTERN MERCER, MONMOUTH, SOUTHEASTERN MIDDLESEX, NORTHEASTERN BURLINGTON, AND NORTHERN OCEAN COUNTIES..

IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets, and underpasses.

Some locations that may experience flash flooding include... Long Branch, Asbury Park, Sandy Hook, Lakewood, Middletown, Old Bridge, Jackson, Howell, East Brunswick, South 

9:00 pm Tornado warning NYC Manhattan, Bronx

7:30 Tornado Warning continues for New Brunswick NJ, South Plainfield NJ, Carteret NJ until 8:15 PM 

7:20 pm Major Tornado passing by Trenton, NJ people told to take cover immediately.

6:30 Tornado touched down in Gloucester county damaging homes.

The national weather service has issued a tornado watch until 10:00 pm tonight for 15 NJ counties including Ocean. At 6:30 a tornado touched down in the Mullica Hill, NJ located in Gloucester County. The NWS issued a Tornado Emergency for Trenton area until 7:30 pm  Remnants from Hurricane Ida will bring rounds of severe thunderstorms, heavy rainfall up to 6 inches that could lead to statewide flash flooding, and spawn isolated tornadoes
