ReplyDeleteStating how many new covid cases is just as stupid as announcing how many people have colds. It doesn't say if people are really sick or only tested positive.
ReplyDeleteIt's to let the immune compromised people be aware that the likely numbers are 10x and they should be extra diligent.
DeleteI'm no expert but as far as I understand, every positive case has the potential to become serious. This is why discouraging people from vaccinations at this time makes no sense and in my humble non Rabbinic opinion would be would be not halachikally sound advice.

Deletelately. What if a shul is debating special precautions over Yom Tov? etc. They need to know how much Covid there is in Lakewood and which direction it is heading. And that is just a small example of why it is so important to know the Corona stats in Lakewood
