  1. Do the rabbonim/askanim plan on saying something about the massive outbreak going on right now in Lakewood (confirmed by doctors), or nah?

    4. Poor askanim, first they get blamed for people panicking over covid, now for not getting people to panic over it. They never do anything right by this sites commenters.

    5. Yes. There seems to be a lag in reporting.

Ok I'll grow up, but in the interim (until I'm grown) you still need to deal with the facts of a large scale outbreak.

    6. Massive outbreak?? ๐Ÿค” while there have been more cases recently mostly from people returning from vacation and camps, it is a far cry from a massive outbreak! Stop trying to cause panic and fear

    7. There's an outbreak going on, with scores of cases being reported daily. And probably not even the full picture because many people are just not testing because they don't want to quarantine
It's hard to simplify for Lay people  and possibly for many of those in the medical field

but the more people are on top of each other and the closer the contact  builds an atmosphere which even if they aren't personally affected causes it to percolate

how verbose people remarkably are capable of becoming when they when they wish to rationalize

    1. So give it away to someone who wants it

  5. A lot of people are unsure  if they actually got the virus ! and a lot of people who got the virus don't have antibodies  possibly!
does all that really matter however Those who don't wish to care about others but  want to be pious about it will find a response for everything

probably will be a vaccine in the matter of months
people : control themselves and hold on a  few more months

  6. because it will defeat the heimish narrative
people who have passed away in the past couple weeks

eg the wife of R Wolfson,
always propounded as anything but Corona
Even if supposedly some on the periphery get it
facts are the numbers keep going up every single day just check on an Ocean County stats
can you somehow be less responsible  than the elders of Egla Arufa

Businesses should  remain  open for that  we could agree in the present circumstances
however things that are recreational or parties unless people are totally  perverse shouldn't it be an obligation to have them shut or at least Limited  if it even saves a couple people's  health?!

    1. GET THIS THROUGH YOUR HEAD: PEOPLE ARE NOT MURDERERS FOR LIVING THEIR LIVES. IF SOMEONE GETS SICK THEN THATS WHAT NATURE DID. YOU HEAR ME ?, IT WAS NATURE , NOT SOMEONES FAULT. HOW HARD IS THIS TO UNDERSTAND ?????

      Delete
    2. Oh, right, now I get it. If it is nature, then it doesn't matter. The people aren't really dead, their families aren't suffering, and it doesn't hurt. If it is nature, there is no reason to do anything about it. We don't turn on heaters or air-conditioners, because the weather is 'nature'. We don't cook food, because raw food is 'nature'.

Get this through your head. Your responsibilities start at your opportunities. If you have the opportunity to do something, you are responsible for it. If we can limit society's exposure to this virus, we are obligated to do it. Whatever is possible, is imperative. No more and no less.
