Estimated Restoration for Lakewood: Next Week Tuesday August 11
They Lakewood township was busy holding a public LDC Meeting with the mayor on zoom while the town was pelted by a storm and its citizens suffering with no power or water. The state Govt was shut the day before but Lakewood committee and board members felt it was important to conduct a meeting to give away tax money via loans instead of taking charge and showing leadership during a crisis These politicians and unelected board members need to go they are not only out of touch but they spit in the face of Lakewood citizens with their daily corrupt acts serving the few at the expense of the taxpayers and residents.
Aging rotting utility polls that crack and snap in the wind are a testimony to an outdated system that is ripe with corruption preventing any fix. Lakewood developments have electricity underground yet it does not seem to stop or prevent power outages
The issue is rarely with the power in the specific development as you mentioned as the lines are typically underground. The issue is always a more widespread issue of a transmission line being affected so until ALL lines and utilities are put underground, there will still be issues. If development lines were also above ground, we would have many more issues!
No need to panic This is standard shtick they do to protect themselves and make themselves look good when they usually restore power ahead of schedule.
The askanim brought it on themselves they take credit for everything but never accept blame they made askanus a PR stunt instead of doing things quietly without fanfare they never miss on opportunity to go in front of the cameras or post favorable news stories about themselves in the frum Jewish media. The old time askanim did and spoke less they got a mention here and there but were not busy building up a profile on social media or taking credit for everything or things that has nothing to do with them.
No, it is possible that the asskanim did nothing detrimental over here.
But gevald, why do we need asskonim when nobody can point to anything positive they have done for the town? What have we gained from them? WHen they first started putting 'fun unzere' in the township committee, they said that we need it in case someone is arrested on Friday afternoon!!! Is that why we need it? We have a block vote, yet were targeted directly by the elected officials. WHy did they know that it would not affect their re-election campaigns? They know how useless the asskonim are, or at least how little they care. Every issue in this town that bothers the rank and file is not even addressed by these asskonim, what do we need them for?
look out for PR videos of angry committeemen with stone face standing in front of broken utility pole with fallen trees wearing a windbreaker with emblem calling on utility companies to get power back ASAP
Aaron Lang, can you please file a class action lawsuit against JCP&L on behalf of the Lakewood residents sitting in the dark? Can you imagine this nonsense in Newark or Jersey City? To say that the juice won't be running until more than a week after the storm hit is a smack in the face from JCP&L to us all!
Where are the Askanim?

ReplyDeleteI need someone to blame for this. Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteRules:
1. Must be an askan
2. Must be connected to the leadership
3. Must be someone who believes in masering
4. Cannot be chasidish or from the peleg
If you know anyone who fits these criteria, please let me know, I want to blame him for everything.

This is 100% the fault of the state board of utilities and the politicians that appointed them.
DeleteThere are places that get "storms" like this once a month with no outages
