- A front cover article in The Voicenof Lakewood, “Convenient Care Comes at a Cost” by Dr. Robert Shanik and Dr. Ira Haimowitz, argues that increasing reliance on urgent care centers and convenience-based medical services can lead to substandard pediatric care. They argue that many families are choosing urgent care centers or home-visit services for convenience rather than consulting their child's regular pediatrician. According to the authors, this can result in: Misdiagnoses,Unnecessary testing and treatments, Incomplete medical records, Different providers treating the same child without knowledge of prior history, Missed serious medical conditions.
A  consistent relationship with a primary pediatrician generally leads to safer and more effective care than relying on multiple urgent care or home-visit providers.

  1. So AI was used. "the only use of ai was as a technical production tool during portions of the graphic rendering process, where it assisted the design team in enhancing visual quality and visual effects."

  2. The article against urgent care was with negius. It could be that equal to the times the pcp caught something that urgent care missed, so it is vice versa. Plenty of kids were misdiagnosed by their primary doctor only to have a great diagnostician at an urgent care catch it. This even includes cancer caught very early for a teen by an urgent care doctor.

  3. That disclaimer thinks we're dumb. I personally don't see an issue with their use of AI. But don't call me dumb. The more words you use, the more obvious that you are trying to cver someting up.
