- An Atzeres Tefillah with a Minyan Tehillim will take place tonight at 11:00 PM for the refuah sheleimah of the Brisk Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Avrohom Yehoshua Soloveitchik, who is currently hospitalized in the ICU. Location: Bais Medrash of Albert, 699 Albert Ave, Lakewood.

- In person meetings at the township 
Lakewood Township is pleased to announce that - following extensive outreach and coordination – the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) will be hosting in-person interviews in Lakewood for its popular Global Entry Program. U.S. Customs and Border Protection will conduct Global Entry interviews in Lakewood this August, marking the first time the program will be offered in Ocean County. A limited number of interview slots will be available for Lakewood residents who receive conditional approval by July 31. Global Entry provides expedited customs processing and includes TSA PreCheck benefits.

- An Assembly panel approved a bill Thursday that would ensure doctors in New Jersey can continue to get paid the same amount for treating patients in person as they do by video call. Assemblyman Brian Rumpf (R-Ocean), opposed the measure, questioning why a physician should receive the same pay for an online visit when they can offer far more services in person.

- NJ Republicans who recently toured NJ State Prison say they found deteriorating infrastructure, overcrowded conditions, no air conditioning, and more than 300 correctional officer vacancies. The lawmakers contrasted the conditions with the attention Democrats and Gov. Sherrill have focused on Delaney Hall, arguing that state leaders should address problems in facilities under New Jersey's direct control. The group has also requested a tour of Delaney Hall for comparison. NJ GOP 

- President Trump threatens a 10-year prison sentence after photos and videos appear to show people damaging and removing pieces of the newly renovated Reflecting Pool in Washington, D.C."There is a 10 year prison sentence for the destruction, or even the attempted destruction, of such things — which will be fully enforced!"

- According to a report in Haaretz, Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar-Zini has warned in closed discussions that “the next October 7 could happen in Eilat.” Zini reportedly instructed senior officials in the agency to prioritize the scenario of a possible attack on the city, viewing Eilat as a security weak point mainly because of its geographically isolated location.

- U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, called President Donald Trump’s agreement to end the war with Iran “an abject surrender” and “a cataclysmic failure.”
