Iran/Israel Updates Monday June 8

- VP Vance: "Let's be honest. The Iranians don't want this war to continue. It's not in their best interests. They're coming to the table, putting some real things on the table. If we get this deal, it's going to be a home run for the American people."

- The IDF intercepted a drone from Yemen.

- Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly called off a major strike on Iran with fighter jets on the runway, after US President Donald Trump instructed him on Monday not to escalate Israel’s fight with Iran  Instead, in a brief address to the nation on Monday, Netanyahu said he would halt attacks on Iran “for now,” but warned that Israel would strike Iran and Hezbollah if it is attacked again.

El Al Due to the security situation and uncertainty, we allow these days wider flexibility in changing and cancelling flights.

- New York Times: Trump asked Netanyahu to refrain from additional strikes on Iran, in a phone call they held today, according to a senior US official and two Israeli sources According to the report, Trump told Netanyahu that he believes the US and Iran are approaching an agreement on a framework that will bring the parties to the negotiating table towards a long-term agreement

- Amit Segal: Iran was emboldened to attack Israel because it perceived weakness from the Trump administration, believing Washington was more focused on securing a deal with Tehran than deterring aggression

- Wizz Air announced a temporary suspension of its flights to Israel June 8-9
following the latest security developments in the region.

- Defense Minister Katz: Any attack on the northern cities will lead to an attack on Dahieh. The IDF will continue to operate in Lebanon against the terrorist organization Hezbollah. We categorically reject Iran's threats. Any Iranian attempt to link Lebanon and Iran and attack Israel will be met with great force, as happened yesterday.

- Israel attacked the pump that transports the material in the large petrochemical plant in Iran last night. An attack on a critical (and expensive) component intended to disable the factory completely

- Senior Israeli official: At Trump's request - Israel stops attacks on Iran. Attacks on southern Lebanon will continue in full force in the coming days. We will also strike the Dahiya if attacks on our communities and citizens continue from Lebanon

- "Senior Israeli official: The sense during the meeting was that the current round of fighting/escalation is over."(Amit Segal)

Israel attacked southern Lebanon after Iranian threat. Hezbollah fired back but rockets didn't  cross into Israel and fell short of the border.

Netanyahu and Trump spoke a short while ago.

- Fars News Agency: Iranian armed forces announced the end of military operations against Israel, and warned that if Israel attacks Lebanon again, the response will be more severe

- Trump: “Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking to do an immediate CEASEFIRE! Final negotiations on “Peace” are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in its way. The Blockade will remain in place, and in full force and effect, until a “Final Deal” is reached. Things should move quickly. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP

-Trump: “Israel and Iran must immediately stop “shooting.” President DONALD J. TRUMP”

The IDF is briefing military correspondents:

Preparations are being made for at least several days of fighting.

From the IDF's perspective, this is not considered a new operation, but rather a continuation of Operation Rising lion.

-Iran Revolutionary Guards: We warn - the Zionist enemy, by acting against non-military targets and damaging the oil industries, has started a dangerous game whose scope will include all energy targets in the region

  4. If you think there is a chiyuv to send your daughter to seminary, then why should it matter what is actually going on. The only purpose is to brag that your daughter went to seminary in Israel.

This is one of the most severe financial crisis facing us and we are silent about it.

Even better, just send them a blank check.
