Iran Israel Updates Wed June 3

- Joint statement by Lebanon, Israel, and the USA: The ceasefire is conditional on a complete cessation of fire by Hezbollah and the evacuation of all organization operatives from the areas south of the Litani.
The two sides agreed with the guidance of the United States to swiftly advance the creation of pilot zones in which the Lebanese Armed Forces will take exclusive control of the territory to the exclusion of all non-state actors.  These steps will enable progress towards a comprehensive peace and security agreement.

- President Donald Trump has told aides privately that he would consider ending the ceasefire with Iran if Tehran kills American troops, the Wall Street Journal reports, citing US officials.

- Trump on the ceasefire with Iran: "In this part of the world, a ceasefire means you just shoot a little more moderately."

- Trump: The negotiations (with Iran) are going well. Maybe it won't happen, but if it does, it could happen over the weekend.

- President Trump was asked if, following Iran's attack on Kuwait, the ceasefire is still valid, and he replied that there is a reason for everything, and "we attacked them the night before and the last night. We hit them hard. There is a reason for certain things."

- PM Netanyahu on the Iran deal with Obama: "We gave Iran a one-month advance notice before the inspections. They removed all the nuclear material, emptied the nuclear facilities, and transferred everything to another location. Do you think this is a good supervision regime

- Netanyahu: There are huge cracks in the regime in Iran right now. I believe that eventually these cracks will widen and the regime will fall. Iran has not yet agreed to remove its nuclear material, but the pressure is increasing.

- Netanyahu responds in an interview with CNBC about his relationship with Trump: "Trump and I agree on the main issues regarding Iran. Sometimes we have tactical disagreements, but we resolve them." Netanyahu refused to comment on the phone call itself - but also did not deny it.

- The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense: Iran launched 13 ballistic missiles and 17 drones towards Kuwait There was damage to the airport in Kuwait following the Iranian attack one killed.

- An Israeli strike hit a car on a highway just south of the capital, Beirut, as the Hezbollah continued its attacks on Israeli troops and civilians despite a nominal ceasefire.

- President Trump, in response to a question about whether Netanyahu tricked him and dragged him into a war with Iran: “I am the one who started it. I don't want to blame anyone, but I am the one who started it, because we can't let them get a nuclear weapon. Israel would not remain a state without me."

- In an interview with NYP, Trump confirms calling PM Netanyahu ..crazy” but adds: "I really love Bibi and work with him excellently."
