- Netanyahu will be moving up his trip to Washington and arriving this Tuesday to meet with President Trump on Wednesday - instead of his planned the week after. The reason for this unusual change of schedule is an urgent discussion with the President on Iran.
U.S. stocks rallied sharply on Friday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average crossing the 50,000 threshold for the first time as investors shook off earlier technology-sector losses and returned to risk assets.
Netanyahu despite denying vehemently that he is pro a attack on Iran is doing everything in his power to make it happen.
ReplyDeleteI don't think so. At this point Israeli intelligence is deeply embedded in Iran. A change of regime would make that useless. Israel is secretly comfortable with the status quo.
DeleteDuh! Yasharkoich for your deep original view lol
ReplyDeleteThat $2 million could have gone to widening Route 9. Instead, it’s a perfect example of how the powers that be enrich themselves while abusing the public vote. They promise politicians control of a bloc vote, then pressure everyone to fall in line by claiming it will “help the olam” through grants for their pet projects while critical public infrastructure and projects that benefit the general public are ignored.
ReplyDeleteReach out to Mr Smiths office and request….
Deleteis there an aproximate cost figure as to how much to widen rt 9? and is that whats holding it up ?
DeleteThe State wrote in a letter that it will cost 500 million dollars to widen Route 9 in Lakewood.
DeleteThey explained that our Committeemen appointed members to our land use boards who kept approving hundreds of developer’s construction plans all along Route 9 which caused all the land along both sides of the highway to drastically go up in value. This means that the State would be forced to cough up hundreds of million of dollars to buy up those lands, so they can have the land necessary to expand.
Furthermore, that dollar figure is a few years old, and the number has likely gone up even more given the out of control prices for real estate in Lakewood today. Of course, after the land would be purchased, there would be more costs for the actual widening.
So, let’s all give a big thank you to our local politicians who pay themselves very well (and get incredible benefits) with our taxes. They really earned it!
The 500M number (I'm not sure where you got that from, I heard years ago 100M) is in order to widen the 9 all the way through Toms River
DeleteIf they would only widen it at the bridge near Central it would be a lot cheaper and solve a major bottleneck
Recently they discovered this option and have been discussing implementing it
So make a rebellion.Civil methods have reached a dead end
ReplyDeleteDo you mean hafaganas?
Delete10:25am,
DeleteWould be the recommended bare minimum!
When does the average taxpayer talk to Chris Smith? the well connected are the ones who talk to him and he thinks he's helping lakewood by giving grants out to them.
ReplyDeleteIt's time that he engages in open town hall meetings and hear directly from the citizens about where the grant money should go instead of backroom deals and fake press releases about helping traffic while doing nothing to improve the infrastructure
i actually called his office last year for an appointment regarding a policy matter he takes a personal interest in.
DeleteNo response, despite my follow-up call.
Guess I have to get an askan to intervene.
