6:00am the National Weather Service has increased snow amounts for the greater Lakewood area up to 30 inches from Long Branch to Toms River with a 24"-30" forecast.
Blizzard Warnings with heaviest snow/winds will occur tonight
As of 6 AM Sun: Light precip is spreading into the region. Mainly rain at the onset from around I-78 and south, then precip will become heavier and transition to snow starting late morning and into the afternoon. Snow for most areas by evening. Latest briefing:
‘Potentially historic’ storm with 12 to 24+ inches of snow to cripple N.J. Blizzard warnings expand. The National Weather Service warns of 'life-threatening' conditions with wind gusts up to 60 mph at the peak of the monster snowstorm Sunday night.
