-Law enforcement increases pattrols across New Jersey following Iran war. A

Lakewood Police Department has been closely monitoring the situation. Out of an abundance of caution, we have increased patrols throughout the township, with particular attention to houses of worship, schools, and other community gathering locations. We remain in direct communication with our federal, state, and county law enforcement partners to ensure that we are receiving the most current intelligence and guidance.

At this time, we are not aware of any imminent or specific threats to Lakewood. However, we will continue to remain vigilant and proactive in our efforts to safeguard our community.
