- Many girls schools will be open with no transportation parents will have to carpool.
- A YouTuber who previously released a hit piece documentary on Kiryas Yoel has now posted a new video focusing on the Lakewood-area Orthodox community. The video, titled “Exposing New Jersey’s Jewish invasion ” has already garnered more than 70,000 views within just a few hours of its release.
The documentary centers on the expansion of the Orthodox Jewish community into neighboring towns and starts off with a similar visit to Monsey. It features interviews with local residents, some of whom express frustration, claiming that new neighbors tend to remain insular and do not encourage interaction between children from different communities.
Lakewood philanthropist Dr. Richard Roberts is also interviewed in the video. He responds to criticism regarding the community’s use of government programs and its support for zoning changes, particularly in Jackson, defending what he describes as lawful growth and community development.
The video includes troubling elements, such as antisemitic references that highlight overflowing trash bins and blame newcomers for a reported rat infestation. While some residents agreed to appear on camera, others declined, citing concerns stemming from the filmmaker’s previous Kiryas Yoel documentary.
The documentary concludes by acknowledging that the Orthodox Jewish community shares a strong sense of collective purpose that unites its members, even amid ongoing tensions with surrounding communities.

- President Trump says his State of the Union speech tomorrow is going to be a “long speech” because he has so much to talk about. The men’s US hockey team has accepted President Trump’s invitation to come to his State of the Union address tomorrow.
- The Trump admin expects to receive from the Iranians by tomorrow a draft agreement: a real proposal - no more principle documents and ideas. After the draft is received, Trump and senior officials will discuss it to decide whether to pursue face-to-face talks.
- PSA: Good time to towel the keurig coffee machine in the snow
From Star K: In case of great need, it is permitted to tovel glass and china in snow if there is at least 240 cubic feet of snow joined together in any area. For example, four inches of snow in a field which has an area of 27′ X 27′ would be large enough to tovel the keilim. The snow must fill the inside and cover the outside of the keili, and the vessel must be connected to the required amount of snow
-Campaign in Iran looming
Israeli official told the Saudi channel Al-Hadath: We are considering evacuating several embassies. We have raised the alert level at embassies in Europe, the Far East, and Latin America. We asked former senior officials in the defense establishment and the civil service to return to the country as soon as possible.
- Netanyahu delivers an unusually short and dramatic speech in the Knesset:
“We are in very complex and challenging times, concerning the life of the state.”
“No one knows what tomorrow will bring. We are keeping a watchful eye and are prepared for any scenario. If Iran makes a mistake perhaps the most serious mistake in its historyand attacks Israel, we will respond with a force they cannot even imagine.”
And at the conclusion:
“In these days we must close ranks and stand shoulder to shoulder. We have already proven that when we stand together, we achieve great accomplishments. On the eve of the Purim holiday, we will stand together—and, with God’s help, we will ensure the eternity of Israel(Amit Segal)
- Yair Lapid responds to PM Netanyahu regarding Iran: There is a good chance that we are on the verge of a campaign in Iran. If this campaign happens and it should happen we will all put everything aside. All disagreements will be put in deep freeze until the end
- Trump: Any Country that wants to “play games” with the ridiculous supreme court decision, especially those that have “Ripped Off” the U.S.A. for years, and even decades, will be met with a much higher Tariff, and worse, than that which they just recently agreed to. BUYER BEWARE!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP
- Rav Dov Landau, sharply criticized the phenomenon of filtering girls during admission to seminaries based on criteria of abilities and suitability.
The questioner: "Girls who are excellent in spirituality, the families are excellent in spirituality, but the girls are not the most brilliant. The big seminaries don’t want them.
Rav Landau responded לא יהיה כלי גבר על אשה
- zTrump: As President, I do not have to go back to Congress to get approval of Tariffs. It has already been gotten, in many forms, a long time ago! They were also just reaffirmed by the ridiculous and poorly crafted supreme court decision! President DJT
Lakewood Rosh Yeshiva Rav Malkiel Kotler shlita walking home from Yeshiva

Not sure why you discussed a Keurog. As the Star K said, snow is allowed only for glass as per Chayei Odam (if porcelain needs tevilla it is only due to the glaze that may have been done in the 1800s using a glass glaze, hence the Glass and China)
ReplyDeleteAsk per the CEO of Lenox China The glaze is not just to keep the China clean and for aesthetics rather it gives the China strength similar to rap around carbon fiber which gives a beam strength. The glass is an integral part of the dish despite it being so thin
DeleteI don’t think the question ever was if it is botul vs a maamid, in which case the CEO would be proving the oruch hashulchan etc. wrong. The definition of glass for tvilla is if can be repaired if broken on which case there is a gzeirah. A glaze isn’t self standing and can’t be repaired. However if it’s a two layer process then the glass may be a self standing keili.
DeleteThe questioner: "Girls who are excellent in spirituality, the families are excellent in spirituality, but the girls are not the most brilliant. The big seminaries don’t want them.
ReplyDeleteRav Landau responded לא יהיה כלי גבר על אשה
Someone explain his response please?
He means that it's incorrect to use the same standard (intellectual ability) that yeshivas use to evaluate boys.
DeleteI don't think acceptance or non acceptance to seminary constitutes an evaluation of the girl? Some girls need a more intellectual seminary because Hashem created them with intellectual needs. That doesn't mean they are better girls, just that they have certain needs. Seminaries designed to meet those needs may not be the correct place for girls who were not created that way.
DeleteI will explain dont go to Israel for seminary. Rav Landau shlita is saying this entire process of 'fahrer' to girls is like getting into boys yeshiva. It is a bizoyon.
ReplyDeleteMy comments- Before you decide to send your girl to seminary did you ask a competent Rav? Should you do it? What do they gain except the 'experience? There are so many wonderful seminaries in Lakewood , Brooklyn...Why send to Israel???
Because the Lakewood seminaries are also too full and turned away hundreds of of quality candidates (same price and same process).
ReplyDeleteMy friends and I will not be helping pay for chasunos of girls who went to seminary in E"Y.
ReplyDeleteBecause there still are some bnai Torah who value Eretz Yisroel. Of the couples who settle in Eretz Yisroel, the vast majority learned there in seminary. It may break your heart, but Lakewood has no inherent kedusha.
ReplyDeleteIn EY 'seminar' means high school. It is not the same as seminary in the US.
ReplyDelete*CBN -* @Whichever girls schools close tomorrow, it’s just straight up selfish and shows that you don’t care about the children’s chinuch or your parent body that pay the tuition. There is no middle road here,if you close it’s a straight up “we can do whatever we want” and we dont care about you!🤬
ReplyDelete*Then you raise our tuitions because you can’t pay your bills and expect us to come through with donations and Rayze It campaigns to help cover the budget, etc. Either we are on the same team or we are not, and any school that closes tomorrow has clearly drawn a line in the sand.*
*If a child lives in an area that isn’t safe to drive in, then that child can stay home. Classes can be light, and the children can be taught about Yom Tov, etc.*
99% of the staff is local to Lakewood, and the roads are clear. 💪
The parents have driven the children to school in worse conditions than this for the last month. Don’t come complaining if my tuition is late or doesn’t come at all. Additionally, the bittul Torah for the fathers who can’t go learn tomorrow is on you.
NO BUSSING DOESNT MEAN NO SCHOOL IT JUST MEANS MORE TRAFFIC!
*It’s unacceptable. You can love me or hate me, but I promise you that I am speaking now for the thousands of parents in 08701 who don’t have a platform.*

Pshhh a new mechanech in town telling the schools how to run their business after sharing a video with nivul peh and F bombs
DeleteNice!
I promise you that I am speaking now for the thousands of parents in 08701
DeleteYou're claiming that thousands of parents have this type of attitude of us vs. them? That's simple psychological projection.
Even parents who disagree with a particular decision, who have been highly inconvenienced by a particular conclusion or have been hurt by a particular mistake, don't carry this sentiment. They don't seek the school's failure. They don't seek to do battle with the school. They have a broader viewpoint, where they are thankful for the good what the school does and accomplishes for their children. They realize the challenges and difficulties in running a successful school, and are still thankful for the good, despite being upset and hurt by the mistakes. He doesn't speak for me. He doesn't speak for us.
This lowlife is just here to stir the pot and get his own attention that he desperately needs and thrives on. (Of course L’sheim Shamayim.) He doesn’t have a clue or care to know what goes in to decision making whether to open or close a school for a day. I will elaborate no further on the process, because it’s irrelevant. According to him, every mechanech and mechaneches is a lowlife and he’s a tzaddik.
Deletefathers are not supposed to be bringing their children to cheder can of interactions with mothers while dropping off children -- Rambam
DeleteIt’s become a laughingstock. Most mainstream people don’t follow it or take it seriously. The followers tend to be low-IQ Five Towns baalei batim who seem to enjoy being manipulated by a WhatsApp admin’s rants and outbursts. They proudly go along with whatever nonsense is tweeted impulsively as if it were written with authority rather than off the cuff.
DeleteThe delusion is the idea that this platform somehow holds real authority that it can meaningfully agree or disagree with world leaders or rabbinic leaders. In reality, it’s a clown show with a bully pulpit.
It has nothing to do with chinuch its about defending the LSTA and shifting the blame and attacking certain school owners for not being open today.
DeleteAnd of course a crave for attention
He started out as a good source for straight up news, but once he got bigger, it got to his head and now he feels he can be the policeman on parking lots, give his opinions on how schools should operate and demands they open their books for everyone to see and decide how the money should be spent as well as many other topics that get him attention (apparently bashing Roshei Mosdos is a big one). I think he should open a school that will be fully transparent, will always be open and will be very makpid on how people park in the school parking lot.
DeleteThank you Dr. Roberts for setting the record straight with Tyler
