ReplyDeleteיתבטלו הם ואלף כמותם, ולא תיעקר אות אחת מהתורה
👍
DeleteAny from Lakewood or Jackson area they published their names so it would be nice to know
DeleteSilly comments here. This has nothing to do with Kollel learning, which of course is a relatively new phenomenon. No same gadol EVER said the majority of klal Yisroel should be in Kollel. It’s that the secular israelis can’t stand chareidim or any frum Jew for that matter. We make them feel very guilty and they are jealous.
DeleteTell these baal habatim לא מעוקצך ולא מדובשך we survived 6000 years without you
ReplyDeleteWe also survived 6000 years without long term kollel for every man.
DeleteNo we didn't the world can't survive with no Torah learning
DeleteLook up Nefesh Hachaim
Not relevant. He says that the world would cease to exist of there was a time with no Torah learning. He does NOT say that everyone should learn full time.
DeleteIf you are willing to tell these baal habatim לא מעוקצך ולא מדובשך we survived 6000 years without you why not tell the State of Israel the same thing? Were the Chareidi world willing to say "don't give us a dime ever again but we won't serve in the army" most secular Israelis would accept the offer. It was actually a Meretz proposal years ago. The Chareidim were the side who rejected it. And even if they don't accept the offer what other leverage do they have? They are not going to out a million people in jail.
Delete8:55
DeleteOnce upon a time it was common to see balabatim who were baki bshas, they learned 3 hours before Shachris and another 5 hours after they finished work
Today נתקטנו הדורות and people can't do that kind of intense learning without being in a kollel setting and not distracted by מילי דעלמא
So the learning was there just not in a kollel setting
It’s insulting how the Lakewood Township committee members and the Scoop treat residents like fools. The elected members act as if there’s a serious debate over reappointing Ray Coles as Mayor, all while running this same shtick for 20 years. Reporting it as “exclusive” is just blowhard foolishness
ReplyDeleteThe link just shows the petition but not the names of the Baalei Batim. Who are they?

Deletewhy do get a Sefardi? Does Deal NJ get a BMG guy?
ReplyDeletewithout Torah learning the world will collapse we are heroes to standing up to the Zionist shmad and their relentless war on Torah they would make Stalin and the Communists proud.
ReplyDeleteRav Ahron Feldman on why joining the IDF is יהרג ואל יעבור.
ReplyDeletehttps://youtu.be/mC0n_-UKdxA
The fifty percent of soldiers giving up Yiddishkeit, if true, is not among Hesder.
DeleteThey are among the less committed to start with and are not in a framework like the new Chareidi units. R Feldman compared apples and oranges.
We are Jews with a Mesorah. We had Rabbanim and Gedolim in Eretz Yisroel since the State was declared.
DeleteNone, none at all, ever claimed that it was even forbidden to be drafted to the Army, let alone יהרג ואל יעבור.
We don't change our mesorah for anything or anyone.
Yes, learning Torah is more important, and chalilah for a Yeshiva bochur to be drafted. But Rav Shach was no less frum than us, and he even sent people to the Army, as well as announcing publicly that bochurim who aren't learning should go to the Army.
Without the mesiras nefesh of the soldiers the chareidim would all be dead.
ReplyDeleteTorah learning does not do away with the need for an army.
our learning protects even these shmadniks. we dont care for the medina nor IDF
DeleteCorrect, obviously. David HaMelech and all other kings had armies and didn't rely on limmud HaTorah only to protect them. The same for the Chashmona'im, who had an army numbering between 6 thousand and 12 thousand, depending on which of the many battles they fought. Our survival and military victories are miraculous, but it's initiated bederech hateva. This "we don't need an army to protect us" is nothing short of insanity, stated by those completely ignorant of Jewish history.
DeleteKlal yisroel always had an army - we didnt falsely claim torah is magen.
DeleteI am puzzled. I know that most Gedolei Torah said that Yeshiva Bochurim shouldn't go to the army, but have our Gedolim "publicly spoken against, protested or delegitimized the IDF"? Have our Gedolim been using language like "Tzva Hashmad" or saying that we should not listen to them or have Hakaras Hatov?!
ReplyDeleteWe are not the Students for Justice in Palestine.
Why is this such a chiddush or an issue?!
Maybe we are the ones who should be listening a little more closely to our own Gedolim.
They have called the Army shmad and not one has expressed one word of hakoras hatov for the soldiers. Gedolim of previous generations always did.
Deletewe oppose the medina and IDF we are kuloy Torah. end of discussion
DeleteThis is the most harryish price of paper to ever exist.
ReplyDeleteI’m impressed.
It’s not every day you see a world record broken.
Someone put Shimi Jay there when he clearly did not sign, he is a tremendous supporter of Torah BH>
ReplyDeleteYes i am wondering the same thing how many these signatures are legit ?
DeleteWho said he didn't sign that you decide he so clearly didn't.
Deletewho cares about this altogether???
Deletehashem says LEE HAKESEF V LEE HAZAHAV
Npgs Jackson is open for 20 plus years serving the Jackson people & a great store with amazing customer service.
ReplyDeletePlease don't get carried away in the euphoria of the new stores who came to elbow their way in and undermine the businesses that served Lakewood loyally and devotedly.
DeleteLets not get carried away with NPGS - NPGS sales pitch is we are home to the everyday low price and if you care about the bottom line vs. the "shopping experience" come to us. The problem is GG has similar pricing on many items plus very good sales + many items are actually cheaper. NPGS is loosing the every day low price selling point. Either you lower your prices or upgrade and organize your store. You cant expect people to patronize your store just because you were here first and your not into all the gashmiyus.
