ReplyDeleteWow בכבוד גדול
ReplyDeleteSorry, nice, but very weird. The Litvishe yeshiva system was started by the greatest talmid of the gr"a zy"a with one intention, to promote limud hatorah. Period. No music, no baal habatim, no parlor meetings (aka askanus) no Israeli politics etc. Why do we love to rewrite history? (The Baal Shem started his movement to promote avodas hashem, avodas hashem and the true kesher even the smallest Jew should feel with the RBS"O. That many of his talmidim held were through negina.)
ReplyDeleteOk
DeleteRevisionism; a very narrow version
DeleteParlor Meetings is not askanus.
DeleteIt's fundraising.
Sir 7:33 am doesn't appear to be well-versed in the world of Litvish yeshivos and their actual history
DeleteCute to have two "tunies" singing litvishe dry nigunim.
ReplyDeleteI thought the litvish Gedolim banned music.
ReplyDeleteWhat's that comment I used to hear here -- tuna bagel!
